Marion was a free agent a couple years ago when the trade was offered and the Jazz would have been able to keep Matthews this past year. AK would still be floating around the NBA and would have played on 2 different teams by now due to his contract.

Obviously DWill is a better player and worth his contract (supply and demand) so that has a lot to do with it but maybe it also shows AK wasn't as much of malcontent or disruptive as made out to be by some on this board.
