Al Jefferson to Utah? ...Mark Stein's Twitter reports

I am very excited about this. I think Memo comes off the bench like Sap did last year. Now Memo can be that guy that comes in and stretches the D instead of having to be the main presence down low. This is a great day for the Jazz.

Which is the role that Memo should have always had with the Jazz. Sadly we pay him way too much for such a role.

Are you doing this to stand out or are you really this stubborn?

NUMBERICA is an angry Boozer homer who still can't grasp that Boozer signed with another team. So bashes anything the Jazz front office does, and when asked what he would do this summer to stay competitive, he has no answers. Classic.

Can anyone give us a summary of Hollingers "inside" thoughts on the Jefferson trade?

Great deal. Effectively traded Boozer for Jefferson, and thinks paying less for Jefferson between 25-28 is much better than paying Booze until he's 33.
Thinks he'll coexist with Millsap, Okur, and AK well. Defense might be an issue some nights, offense will be "hellacious."
Thinks AK slotting more 4 time might make Okur expendable for a wing. Doesn't think this would happen until deadline.
Doesn't think Utah matches Wes.

In summary, thinks this is a great endgame for Booze--they lose Boozer, come out none the worse.

Not thrilled about giving two first rounders but its better than giving up Tomic's rights, which is worth alot more than two mid-low 1st rounders.

Anyone want to take this one?

I'm being serious when I ask if you really think AJ can be a championship piece to the puzzle at the 5? 'Cause I sure don't. So unless we plan on trading Millsap or Okur for a defensive presence at the 5, this is all moot to me and all we've done is acquire more long-term salary.
