I see this is a clever bit of misdirection, those on the right who are crowing about this are trying to make the conversation about semantics as way to minimize the horror of these camps. Dressing them up in PC terms like "detention centers" doesn't really portray the horror of what we're doing to these people. How are we supposed to solve this problem if we aren't even willing to correctly identify it?

But remember @Zombie, Archie isn’t the alt right. He just idolizes Ben Shapiro, listens to this ****, and in the past, has argued against civil rights and political correctness. But remember, he’s not alt right you triggered liberal snowflake.

Alt right. Lol wtf does that even mean? Do you know how dumb that sounds, Mr Alt Leftist?

I'm not a Republican but hey, since I like Ben Shapiro, you better label me something like Nazi, Alt Nazi, Hitler, White Supremacists, *insert anything to feed your agenda that if anyone has different thought than you, then they're obviously a Nazi.*

What civil rights have I argued against?

And just for the record, I'm not arguing against OC saying concentration camps (I think it's cute people on here argue that concentration camps wasn't used in Nazi context though.) I've stated she says a lot of stupid things on Twitter. Fact.

For someone that has me on ignore, you sure do like reading my posts.

So if not concentration camps, what should we call them? Gulags? Internment camps where children die? Children killing camps (the pro life movement must be up in arms over this)?

Just what exactly does the right want to call their brilliant president’s network of camps staffed by our worst, holding refugees for far too long, and killing kids to send a message?

Nazi Concentration Camps, obviously. Does that make you feel better?

It's interesting that you interpret my saying that using that term is counterproductive to finding a solution as "don't use that word". I never said "don't use that word". I said I think that arguing about it is a waste of time. I guess that is a pretty big windmill to tilt at Don. I thought you were capable of more nuanced thought than that.

This. I've never said don't use that word or that it hurts my feelings but these guys can't help but make it a point of argument.

I just don't understand this thinking. Anyone who does not want to be detained could accomplish that by simply avoid crossing the border illegally.

Whoops. I accidentally mixed her quote up with the quotes of so many others on the left who are constantly invoking comparisons to Hitler and Nazism.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Regarding nazi Germany and people in concentration camps, there were good people on both sides

It's projection. They are used to being the thought police so when they have no other argument they just assume you are trying to be the thought police and therefore must be trying to telling people what to think.

Wait, is this for real?
I thought the same thing. We are detaining people. That is a fact. They are being held in a facility. That is a fact. But that facility is in no way shape or form a detention facility.

Huh?

My apologies for misunderstanding. You think it's fine to call them concentration camps, and when other people object, we should ignore them. I'm good with that.
