All Hail Leading Rebounder In the Game

Andy Larsen made an interesting point on his triple team write up tonight, where he posits that Bradley is good for about 15-10 in any game he plays major minutes in due to his offensive rebounding and good hands. The question with him is what he gives you on defense.

He's no Gobert of course, but he had a couple defensive plays tonight that were really encouraging. He was about as good tonight as you could reasonably expect.

Don't forget his 7 for 8 shooting. Totally outplayed Hayes and Hayes is a real talented rookie. Given his good hands and sturdy build, I think he'll have a long career as a back-up center in this league.

I don't remember which commentator said it but he had a good point - with guys stretching the floor and giving Tony some room he had space to make some moves.

Super happy with how he played.

Total non-sequitur, but I remember when 100% of Jazzfanz (including me) had assumed that Paul Milsap was a career backup. And when Boozer was gone, we were wringing our hands about the obvious weakness with Paul as a 4.

Here's to hoping we are wrong about Bradley.

I didn’t. I wanted us to dump Boozer for a few years and felt it’d be addition by subtraction, even if we got nothing (same for AK). But a lot of people did say “but teh offense!”

That said, as one who argued it about Millsap, Bradley isn’t it.
