Tough one. Ellis's team is made up of 9 HOFers and all-time greats, Thee's team has a bunch of current players (the best in the league right now) but I'm not sure they are HOF caliber players (Harden, George, Davis, Rondo, Cousins). I think Thee has a better blend of player skillsets, outside shooting, rebounding, defense, passing, but his bench looks weaker. Ellis can go two deep at almost every position with a HOF player. I think I'd give the nod to Ellis's team, but it's very very close.

Just because he has more HOF players doesn't mean his team would win. Both his backup sg's are undersized, and can't shoot threes. His backup 4-5 combo a severally under matched vs my backup bigs in Nance, Cousins and Coleman. His bigs both shoot 42% and less. How I'm down by 11 votes is beyond me, guess Ellis is getting the nostalgia vote. I have no idea how his guys can guard mine, and get enough stops to score with my team, then look at the number of lockdown defenders I have in George, Rondo, Davis, Nance, and Hakeem. Please explain how Ellis's team beats me? My athletes as I explained are bigger stronger longer, and better athletes. Not to mention we can score every way imaginable.
 
this IMO is a total mismatch. Ellis team wins rather easily because

1. just look at how balanced they are.

2. and just look at that perimeter defense. sick

3. great twin tower(thurmond & moses)

4. the greatest PG of all time

5. human highlight film (pair him with Magic? nique will look like MJ)

IMO magic would put on a show. this is magic to nique ally oop party all night long.

and nate thurmond is hakeem's nightmare. nate thurmond is pretty much one of the greatest defensive center of all time. he is the ultimate neutralizer. i would start him over ewing. and ewing would come off the bench and abuse cousins.


you know what? i think this is a sweep. easy sweep.

in the history of NBA, there are only 4 guys who can neutralize hakeem IMO.

Ellis' team is just too strong. There is just way too much for Magic to work with. He would average easy 15 assists per, and nearly a triple double with the defense his team can play. Magic catch the long rebound, take it down court with Pistol and HHR on the wings, Moses rumbling down the middle. He would have too many options and it would take multiple doubles to stop it.

Leonard and Maravich shoot give enough outside shooting for Ewing, Malone, and Wilkins. PLus, Magic can get the ball to anyone, anywhere
