Ellis' team is just too strong. There is just way too much for Magic to work with. He would average easy 15 assists per, and nearly a triple double with the defense his team can play. Magic catch the long rebound, take it down court with Pistol and HHR on the wings, Moses rumbling down the middle. He would have too many options and it would take multiple doubles to stop it.

Same.

My main thing is that Ellis doesn't have the outside shooting to spread the floor for an awesome big lineup of Moses/Ewing.

Not gonna vote just yet doe

Leonard and Maravich shoot give enough outside shooting for Ewing, Malone, and Wilkins. PLus, Magic can get the ball to anyone, anywhere

nod=Ellis

magic and wilkins is a great fit. they would be amazing on the break. Davis and george are out of their league imo.

As mentioned, it's tougher to judge because we don't have a body of work on much of TJF's team.

G: No one can guard Magic or Pistol Pete. Sorry, Jazz fans, but Magic WAS the greatest PG of all-time. Argue what you will about "pure" PG. But that's a crutch. Magic could do it all. His size made him unstoppable.
F: 'Nique vs. Durant is close. Both were among the league leaders for many years. Take away Wilkins' last few years and their career averages are almost equal. Moses dominated for many seasons, AD looks like he'll have an amazing career.
C: No contest here. Olajuwon wins easily over Ewing.

This is a close one, especially because both Malone and Mikan were actually centers. I saw Moses play as a rookie with the Utah Stars and then followed him in the NBA afterwards. He could have been a PF if needed. And Ewing had range. If Kanter and Favors can co-exist, those two certainly could have (LOL).

Was the hardest matchup for me to vote on. A very, very narrow edge to Ellis, and probably swayed because Moses Malone (and Ron Boone) were the 2 guys I followed from the ABA to the NBA (as a young boy my father took me to a lot of ABA games in the Salt Palace). And a nod for including one of the true pioneers of the game in Mikan.

If this match is so close, why is the vote so lopsided. Seems people are voting for the team with the most HOF players, I was under the impression that team chemistry was more important then overall achievement from individual players, which is why I took the players I did.

I do have several players that are established and a established at doing certain things, not to mention Ellis's backup bigs just aren't big or strong enough to play in today's style, plus Monroe and Moncrief didn't shoot threes, playing today's style should've had a huge disadvantage with the way my team would've spread his team out.

That's fine I look forward to the current players draft.

Yo remaining peeps, can y'all just PM spy with your write-ups? I know I have some of yours but please just re-PM them to spy. I am at like Level Red for my wife's pregnancy and getting super busy.

I'm willing to do it, but I go in to work at noon tomorrow... so yeah. If we wanna start the matches on Sunday, then that'll work fine for me.
