As mentioned, it's tougher to judge because we don't have a body of work on much of TJF's team.
G: No one can guard Magic or Pistol Pete. Sorry, Jazz fans, but Magic WAS the greatest PG of all-time. Argue what you will about "pure" PG. But that's a crutch. Magic could do it all. His size made him unstoppable.
F: 'Nique vs. Durant is close. Both were among the league leaders for many years. Take away Wilkins' last few years and their career averages are almost equal. Moses dominated for many seasons, AD looks like he'll have an amazing career.
C: No contest here. Olajuwon wins easily over Ewing.
This is a close one, especially because both Malone and Mikan were actually centers. I saw Moses play as a rookie with the Utah Stars and then followed him in the NBA afterwards. He could have been a PF if needed. And Ewing had range. If Kanter and Favors can co-exist, those two certainly could have (LOL).
Was the hardest matchup for me to vote on. A very, very narrow edge to Ellis, and probably swayed because Moses Malone (and Ron Boone) were the 2 guys I followed from the ABA to the NBA (as a young boy my father took me to a lot of ABA games in the Salt Palace). And a nod for including one of the true pioneers of the game in Mikan.
