What do you mean, what does the dunk have to do with basketball? Does a dunk not count as two points just the same as a hook shot, lay up, or jump shot?
The dunk is a higher percentage, more effective way of putting the ball in the hole.

On nba2k14 if I ramp someone's dunk up to 99 usually his overall rating go up 3-5 points so it does matter bro.
anyway - i see that ya'll boys are building a team. i thought it was just top 100 best player/draft. this changes everything. i don't mind having vince carter when i have 9 other great players. vince carter can come in and be a 6th man. but can the prime vince be coached and sacrifice himself on the defensive end? not sure. but at least he bring athleticism to the table.
here are some of my 2 cents.
heyhey - bird, russell, cwebb, ai, parker, dantley - great passing team. russell & cwebb are great combo. cwebb and bird's will have passing clinic. but will AI just hog the ball and ruin the chemistry? that's huge concern. IMO, AI should not have been here. if you put him in the bench, he will just whine. big on risk/reward.
JoelHodge - MJ, Oscar, & zo. love it. loving this nasty back court. MJ now has a legit 6ft 5 pg who can play both ends. he doesn't need his scottie now because he will be the scottie for this team - being the versatile defender. love zo. go get another big and 1 shooter. a perfect team in the making
jeffrey - west, kobe, pettit, barry, dumars - love this team. old school tough guys. chemistry won't be issue. this is kobe's team. just need more bigs. bit concerned about being too small, but legit bigs will solve the problem
spycam - shaq, dirk, mchale, clyde, pierce, tmac - interesting, but i'm not sure how tmac/clyde/pierce will be together. i think pierce isn't needed in this team. this is a low post team with versatile wing. i would've taken a pure shooter or a pg.
addictionary - bron, dr. j, cousy, kemp, hayes - tricky. i don't think cousy is necessary. i would've gone all out defense. bron & dr. J is interesting. not a big kemp guy, but he can run. can this be a serious running team? hell yes. bought bron would have to really play SF. and trust cousy to run the team.
hack - drob, charles, wade, glove, drose, rodman, manu - go get a shooter and this is a sick sick team. probably the most interesting team.
ellis269 - magic, ewing, nique, moses. absolutely sick. nique would be something to watch. ewing & moses. that's sex. just need more shooters. possibly my fav team
the jazz - hakeem, KD, nash, harden. could've been much better. 3 guys who doesn't play any D? asking hakeem to do too much. you passed up karl for KD. hakeem & karl would've been lethal
hottknickkk - timmy, reggie, scottie, melo, kidd - my dark horse. with addition of enforcer PF and a shooter, this team will be a legit title contender. this is a defensive minded team, but melo and reggie will carry the offense flawlessly. melo will compliment in this kind of defensive minded team. this team covers melo's weakness. melo no longer have to be a ball dominant player. melo will shine and probably be their mvp.
quinsnydershair - wilt, walton, curry, allen, westbrook, gervin, rice - i'm not totally sold on the chemistry. 2 great twin tower, but will they have a back court who can compliment? wilt's impact will be minimized because this team will jack lot of jumpers. wilt and walton sounds bit odd to me. most likely walton would have to come off the bench, but wilt being super human probably won't even sit for 3 min. spacing will be tricky. middle wide open. gotta go get that bridge player who will do some dirty work. but very interesting team for sure.
jazzyapma - kareem, kg, cp3, havlicek, grant hill, kevin love, frazier - flawless team. add 1 more versatile wing shooter, and there is no flaw to this team. this is a cp3 will be a vocal leader, and kareem & kg twin tower will be sick combo. kareem won't even have to worry about d. kareem will just skyhook you do death and kg will do all the dirty work. can't even imagine how many assist cp3 will avg for this team grant hill adds versatility and will be their swiss army knife. i love frazier, but he would ahve to play 2 or be a back up for this team. could be a great 6th man along with kevin love. and kevin love would come off from the bench and keep the offense going. but real star here is havlicek who will make the offense go along with cp3. havlicek is criminally underrated. i love frazier too, but would be best if he comes off from the bench.

his 'fancy' dunks are not better than some boring dunk. same 2pts. and let's not act like vince was dunking all over dudes in the playoffs. he is naturally not an aggressive player. he just doesn't have 'it'. cliche, but so true.
