I wrote it up quickly and didn't even look to see who your starter was because it didn't even matter and Parish and Laimbeer actually went head-to-head with Parish and the Celts winning out. Parish will be listed ahead of both in the Greatest Lists. A true Iron Man in the sport. Starting center for the 1997 Boston Celtics Championship at Age 44. Incredible! A broken down Mourning was the back-up to Shaq for his only title.

And here's him pounding Laimbeer, in case you missed.

Huh? The Celtics won in 1997? I though it was the Bulls vs. Jazz that year?

If you want to play the magazine game, Dime Mag did a top-10 point guards of all-time. Stockton is #3 and West isn't even on the list.

Using your lesser viewed Mag, West was listed under SGs

4. Jerry West (1960-1974)
Career stats: 27.0 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 6.7 APG and 2.6 SPG
Career accomplishments: 14x All-Star, 12x All-NBA, 1x NBA Champion and a Hall of Fame Inductee
Jerry West was an all-around combo guard with playmaking skills like a point guard and he could score like a shooting guard. Some might place him on an all-time point guard list, but due to his ability to score at will, it is appropriate to label him a shooting guard. West was dubbed “Mr. Clutch” for his late-game heroics. West once scored 44 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out 12 assists and recorded an unofficial 10 blocks, resulting in an ultra-rare quadruple-double.

When did another PG/SG have a Quadruple Double?

So you have a SG playing PG. Nice..

Jeffrey signing in to all of his alts to come back from 10-1 down now at 12-9.

So titles are all that matter?

Nice.. Derek Fisher > John Stockton
Robert Horry > Michael Jordan

Bill Russell is the GOAT.

We aren't ranking individual players, but best team and I would argue that the best team would have the players who have the most titles or at least won one.

Malone and Stockton proved over 18 years that they were not part of the best team, so why would they be part of the best team now?

As they told Portland, draft Jordan and play him at center.

I think West could play and did play whatever position he wanted or the team needed. He led the league in assists in '72 and scoring in '70. That is a pretty special player. Quad-Double: Fair to say he was a flat-out player. These days, at 6'3" he would be a PG, especially when playing next to Kobe.

Cause instead of Bryon Russell and Greg Ostertag they have Mitch Richmond and Alonzo Mourning. Not to mention a deep bench.

But, I'm taking people who have mainly all won championships and been winners in REAL LIFE and putting them together to win in FANTASY LIFE, which makes my fantasy team that much better. If Kobe had West instead of DFish, don't you think he would have won more than the 5 titles that he already has?

I'm done arguing and making my case. In the end it comes down to this:

Jeffrey32’s Team

PG - Jerry West / Mark Price
SG - Kobe Bryant / Joe Dumars
SF - Rick Barry / Oscar Schmidt / Shawn Marion
PF - Bob Pettit / Dave Cowens / Chris Bosh
C - Robert Parish / Jack Sikma

vs.

White Chocolate's 1990's Team

PG - John Stockton / Anfernee Hardaway / Tim Hardaway
SG - Mitch Richmond / Latrell Sprewell
SF - Chris Mullin / Detlef Schrempf / Glenn Robinson
PF - Karl Malone / Larry Johnson
C - Alonzo Mourning / Bill Laimbeer

Just vote for who has the better team, that is all I have left to say.
