Man, I was finally having fun with this!!!

I was just about to put: using your Dime Magazine Ranking, Barry #8 all-time SF, Mullin not in Top 10 (BTW: SLAM Mag = Barry #22, Mullin #88).

I don't know if I will win this and overcome the home-court advantage of Malone-Stockton, but I believe I not only have the better team, but the better arguments and evidence for it.

Thank you and good night!

I wrote it up quickly and didn't even look to see who your starter was because it didn't even matter and Parish and Laimbeer actually went head-to-head with Parish and the Celts winning out. Parish will be listed ahead of both in the Greatest Lists. A true Iron Man in the sport. Starting center for the 1997 Boston Celtics Championship at Age 44. Incredible!

Still wondering about this comment.. 1997 NBA Finals was Chicago vs. Utah.. Parish played for the Bulls that year. Out of the 19 playoff games they had, he played in 2 and recorded 9 total minutes. So get out of here with that starting center at age 44 b.s.

Stop attacking Laimbeer when he is my backup, my starter is Mourning:

I like White Chocolate's team. Maybe there's a bit of recency bias, since the players are of a more recent era. I'm a HUGE Penny Hardaway fan and a big fan of Latrell Sprewell also. Those are great value picks. I think I took both those guys last year. I'd like to see a bit more defense on the wing, but Alonzo in the middle helps. Penny, Latrell and Mailman with that kind of spacing creates plenty of offense.

Pretty close match first up..

- I think the C/PF position are awash between these 2 teams...

- Agree that Mullen has the edge at the SF

- Agree that Kobe has the edge at the SG

- I think what it comes down to is the PG position and there depth there of. John Stockton + Penny Hardaway + Tim Hardaway at their peak is an unstoppable trio and to me would dominate the Jerry West + Mark Price pairing.

On that basis I'm going with White Choc on this one.

Pg's: WC +1 (1)
Sg's: Jeff +1 (1)
Sf's: Jeff +1 (2)
Pf's: WC +1 (2)
Ç's: WC +1 (3)
Chem: WC +1 (4)
Mix: Jeff +1 (3)

Mix= using players from different time spans.

WC gets my vote.

Great job both teams. Close and difficult call for me.

In their primes I would take Mourning over Parish all day long.

but the bias towards recent players is winning out.

I think this is very true and I'm definitely guilty of it.

When I see guys like jack sikma and players like that, it's hard for me to see thier value.

Recognizable names definitely help in these things.

This is why I picked all players from the 1990's. I grew up watching them, I picked players that I know and like.

It was 1-9 at some point and I thought Jeffrey was getting blown out even though I liked his team better. At least the voting is more balanced now.

Iverson is playing on nba tv right now in a game from his rookie year when he scored 50 points.
Pretty entertaining
