What's new

Andre Iguadala

Oh, so Iggy choking reminds you of your dating life?

Never knew you were a carpet-muncher, mon ami

Nothing wrong with munching on a carpet. What some guys fail to understand is that if she truly enjoyed it then she is much more likely to want it again. Give her the "full service" Dala. Don't be scared...

I was using carpet-muncher as a euphemism for homosexual.

.......but I will take your advice to heart...?

If that is your thing then the same basic principal applies. If you are **** in the sack prepare to have many 1 and done partners. If you can swing it with some skill and they are truly..."pleased" then you will see more repeat customers.

With the new salary cap, with the actions Cuban and Buss have taken to dump players the taking away a chance at a title, the Jazz cannot afford to overpay for nice players. If LA and Dallas can't overpay, we definitely can't.

I will always say no to overpaid players.

Like the player + hate the contract = no.

I could stomach his $14.7 million salary for 12-13 because he would definitley help this team at SF, but his $15.9 player-option for 2013-14 is the dealbreaker imo. Utah could potentially have a boatload of cap room in 2013 - and even if you don't use it to sign a max-player, we've seen with our own franchise (2003-04) and with others (Sea/OKC) how many assets you can acquire simply by having a ton of cap space. As versatile as Iggy is - I don't think he's worth compromising our flexibility in 2013.

*not sure if I still understand what the hell you Yankees are talking about. I will continue to keep posting somewhat-funny pictures though*

I don't see the extra year as being the deal breaker as much as his numbers are too poor for that kind of money. Even with Iggy and resigning Millsap to $9mm per, the Jazz would still only be locking in $41,000,000 in 13-14. That gives them probably $21mm in cap room. They can't sign more than one max player anyway and keep Favors, Hayward, Kanter, and Burks the next couple of years. If Iggy played up to his value then he'd be a great stop-gap between these contracts and future contracts.

Keeping Millsap and signing two max players in 2013-14 would like like this in 2015-16:
Max #1 - $18mm*
Max #2 - $18mm*
Favors - $15ish
Hayward - $9?
Millsap - $9mm
Kanter - $8mm at least based on the Kwame rule
Burks - $5mm or more.

$82 million if Kanter, Burks, and Hayward don't explode, and they still have to fill out the roster. Realistically we're looking at one max player next offseason or two who sum up to about the same, and keeping Millsap. Iggy doesn't do any damage to that but gives them added flexibility of another expiring contract who would likely be very attractive to a team needing one more piece to make a push.

Anyone know if the Philly insder guy on realGM said more about the Big Al/Iggy trade? That would make my offseason happy.

Didn't read the whole thread.

My take on AI is that a good coach that was able to put him into catch and shoot open situations vastly improved his 3pt %. This would translate to the Flex if in fact Ty is going to keep it.

Before 2011 AI was a focus player that usually had to make his own shot. This changed and now he looks really good for a team that can create for him.

All that being said, the real target for the Jazz has to be a playmaking PG. Iggy is great and I'd love to have him but he and everybody else here needs a point that can make the all-NBA pass.

Come on. There's like only 5-6 PGs in the league that are pass first anymore.
