What's new

andrei's jailhouse tat... errr.... something

Hahaha, this made it on PTI today. And to whoever is asking about why Andrei is still in Utah. The dude has kids. They live here. His wife has a store in SLC. THEY F"ING LIVE THERE!

Did they actually DISCUSS the tattoo as a topic, or was it one of the little blurbs they run through at the end of the show?

Also, I seem to have missed what the **** this thing is actually supposed to be (from). Can anyone fill me in?

let's throw stones at the (nonlocal) guy that didn't know Masha had a store in town that would certainly close for business if she didn't work from open to close and assumed that AK's $80 million could afford a decent tutor for his kids if he wanted to get outta town. I mean... yeah... it's crazy for parents to move a kid mid-school year. I'm sure that's never happened. Also, I don't think an NBA player has EVER left town before his house sold, so I shoulda thought of that.

Also, there is ZERO precedent for AK-bashing to overwhelm any constructive discussion about him. for real.

Note that when I asked my question there wasn't a single post speculating about what that might mean for AK's future here on the Jazz.... the team we've assembled to discuss.

Just a little blurb at the end. They showed the picture and laughed at it.

I don't know, but I heard he played World of Warcraft so maybe it's from that or something. Who the f*** knows.

How did you know AK's house is for sale if you are a nonlocal? The internet? That's the same way I heard about Masha's store. That's the same way I heard about AK's tat. That's the same way I heard about his house for sale. That's the same way I heard about him sticking around here for the summer. That's the same way I heard AK enrolls his kids in school year round (usually they spend time in France and Russia during summer and have a tutor).

It's not because his kids are still in school that they stay. AK said his kid really likes it here and doesn't want to move. AK considers the US his family's home and might stay even after he retires because his kids are Americans.

You don't have to be local to know about Masha's store or any of this other stuff. You also don't have to be an *** in this thread.

I didn't understand any of this. Maybe someone else can take this.

dont get me wrong and all.. its a cool tattoo, but i think he should have saved his money for all the tampons he'll need for next season.

What it means for his future here on the Jazz is....he hopes to stay, but it means nothing unless KOC offers him a contract to stay...so, him still hanging around Utah gettin' tats and **** means nothing as far as the Jazz are concerned. It just means he digs his Dwarf Paladin so much and his sweet Proto-Drake that he wanted a permanent reminder of it. That's all this means.... totally non-Jazz related.

Made it on to Rome also. I'm not normally a Rome fan, but I was listening for a few minutes on my way to work. He started with something like this, "We interrupt our NBA coverage for some disturbing news out of Utah: Andrei Kirilenko's back". Made me laugh. Then he made fun of it for another minute or two after that.

This just confirms the suspicions that World of War Craft has been the leading factor for why AK has done so poorly in basketball.

I remember reading that AK plays between 40-60 hours a week playing WOW. His body sitting in a chair for that long staring at a screen doesnt really build injury prone muscles.

If the Jazz resign him there should be something in his contract about a limit. Just like Karl Malone couldnt shoot a gun while being on a horse.

I was hoping for a dragon holding an AK47. At least it would have made a little bit of sense.
