Ante tomic doesnt have sufficient attributesssssss, please lets see it anymore, he is not an nba guy. And currently he is competing against the worst teams in europe, their group is pretty weak, i doubt he will even take 35 mins n 26 pts in total in his first year in nba
he is like a gasol who didnt get fed for a year. We even debate gasols physical competency against big guys in nba, this guy will be thrown to the floor in every defensive action. So he will get opponents called offensive foul 20 percent of the time and he will get dunks on his *** for the 80 percent.
Just because he is weak doesn't mean he can't play in the NBA. If he has skills he can make. I see him potentially pulling a Scola and coming over in his late 20's, after he has already seen and done it all in Europe.
Don't expect anything, and you won't have anything to be let down about.

I thought our rights to Tomic will expire after a certain number of years. 7 years is what comes to mind.

turns out that we keep his rights for one year past however long he plays pro ball elsewhere.
So if he wants to come to the NBA, but refuses to come to Utah, he must quit Basketball for an entire year.
Or request his rights packaged in a trade.

Yep I see nothing wrong with either hoping he eventually comes over late in his career to have Scola type impact or even seeing about trading his rights to GSW (who maybe still have Nelson's son working for them who loves Euro big men) to remove or loosen their protection on the pick owed to the Jazz. Or in a Raja Bell trade I just don't see one really happening that I like/agree with well that the other team would also actually do.
