Even if AD misses a moderate stretch (2-3 weeks), it is a good window for us. Hopefully that leads to 2-3 more L's for the Lakers and gives us a small bump in terms of capturing the #1 seed.

Not playing the Lakers or Clippers until the WCF would be massive. The Nuggets at 6 or 7 (i.e., the other side of the bracket) would just be icing on the cake.

Drummond is a great double agent. He could take out BKN from the inside.
Kinda like Dwight took out the Lakers last year?

I understand the narrative about Andre being disappointing but he’s a big dude and we haven’t seen him with anything but ****** teammates. If you go from Deandre to Andre that is an improvement imo. Clips and Lakers could both use another big body. I think the hate has gone too far with Drummond.

For anybody worried about an asterisk next to a Jazz championship should AD be out:

- There’s still an awful lot the Jazz would still have to accomplish. They’d still have to get past any combination of a Clippers team with two super stars, a Nugget team with Jokic, a Laker team still led by Lebron, and should we get out of the West, we’re most likely facing the newest “Super Team” in Brooklyn.

Nobody can put an asterisk next to this ****. Nobody.

Getting the first seed means we avoid Denver and one of the LAs

Drummond is not better at the things that BKN needs than Deandre Jordan. He's DJ if he thought he was Jokic. I don't think Drummond isn't going to go from 30% usage to 15% usage gracefully. He also isn't going to pick up defensive awareness and instincts that Dwight Howard used to win 4 DPOY's overnight. Personally, would be more worried if BKN got Khem Birch.

From everything I know about Drummond, he's actually a really high character guy who gets along with teammates. It's not a Dwightmare attitude problem. He's just not very good and is definitely not good at being a complimentary center.

He's never had anyone to compliment... what if he decides that because he is on a team with superstars that he should cut the bull ****. He's one of the best rebounders in the league and has been an impactful defender at times. He's talented and in his prime.

Talented at what? He’s a bad defender who jumps at everything. He’s a bad roll man. He consistently makes terrible decisions on both ends. I don’t believe you can just turn it on and suddenly become a smart player. He is a good rebounder, but I’m still struggling to understand how he is better than DJ in this environment.

I don’t see this as a situation where you’re putting a player into a smaller role where he can flourish. Offensively, sure, but I expect he cannibalizes the great players more than he helps. But defensively, his responsibility is enormous. You’re really asking Drummond to do more than he ever has and you’re asking him to excel at something he’s bad at.

You are really kidding yourself if you dont think Drummond would be very good, at least offensively, in Brooklyn. He isn't going to command many creation touches (like post ups) when he is playing with Kyrie/KD/Harden.

Who is the best backcourt creator he has played with? He doesn't even have to role... he can hang out in the dunkers spot and pickup offensive rebounds and dump offs.

Defense is a mixed bag but he can block shots... he gets steals... on a team like Brooklyn that would be helpful even if it changes a few possessions.

The guy has had *** teammates basically his whole career. If Dwight can be effective partly by cutting his ******** out then Andre could as well. Drummond might be more functional in a playoff series than Harrell because he is capable of protecting the rim. A motivated and focused Andre Drummond could be quite helpful to a few teams.

I've always liked AD game, but the day he forced his way to the Lakers he lost part of my respect. Too bad he won't play the next game vs. the Jazz. It would be a good opportunity to try some of the shenanigans Quin has on his sleeve. I liked to see in the game vs. Bucks Favors and Gobert playing together, first time I saw it this season.

I’d rather a player force his way out and get the team amazing assets in return than leaving cold turkey like others have.
