What's new

Anybody else think Alec Burks can be a 20-25PPG player with 30+ MPG?

You can only say he doesn't develop young talent if you don't watch the games and get all your information from a message board instead.

I don't need your magical lineup to see what the Jazz have. Novice fans do for some reason or another.
We'll just agree to disagree. I see a coach that doesn't have a good grasp on how to motivate or teach. He relies too much on vets to the detriment of young players skills and confidence.

You've got his back. I get that. It's admirable. I just don't think he's a good coach and I don't like his system. People who back Corbin always blame the players because the offense is stagnant and the defense sucks. They are very much to blame, but that doesn't change the fact that I think Corbin is (and has always been) in way over his head.

He's slow to react and make changes, he favors veterans too much even if they're playing poorly and I don't see him as being as innovative as other coaches. I think they can do better. That's not to say that playing the Core5 will automatically make them better or more successful. I think that it might, but it's a complete unknown right now. At the very least, it should answer a lot of questions about the future of this team and who they should keep to build around. I don't think Ty has done a good job of answering those questions at all.

Ellis, you're changing this into an argument it isn't, & making some good points outside this discussion. I only wanted to point out that Burks would not have the ball in his hands anymore with your lineup under any of the other 29 head coaches in the NBA.

Fair enough.

He should be playing close to 36.

rather watch burks play over jefferass anyday. He is actually exciting to watch on this team.

He should be the focal point for this team for a good long stretch. Move Gordon back to the 3 and see how Burks responds to being the #1 option. His confidence is sky high. Reward him with a starting job and let him put the team on his shoulders like Gordon has tried to do (with less than impressive results.) This would take the pressure off Hayward and let him be the #2 option shooter and glue guy again. I think they'd both respond well to those roles.
