What's new

Anyone here live in St. George?

If you can find a job in St George and get over the heat, it seems like a great place to live. Since you already have work in line there, you just have to reconcile baking for the entire summer.

I don't know what's worse though. I am building a home in teton valley idaho, where it is colder than an Eskimos toenails for like 100 days a year. For me, I would rather have cold than hot, but I guess you just get used to wherever you live anyways.

That is what Pine Valley and Brian Head are for. Both are less than an hour away and are cooler than the other side of your pillow. . .

Yeah, but it's not like you're going to drive there on the daily. It can be a nice departure from the heat, but the summer is something you just gotta get used to.

I'm looking forward to the heat. I miss it. My wife is back home and it was 60 and raining. I'm loving this weather, though the summer is probably a lot hotter. But that is what the pool is for.

Looks like nobody here has ever been to Dubai. Last time I was there, the temperature reached 116, and the ocean was too warm to swim safely in with the hellish sun beating down on you. At the hotel, the swimming pool was CHILLED, and it was a very pleasant swim.

I have been to Dubai. Luckily Hillary Clinton was there at the same time and her frigidness chilled the ocean for many of our enjoyment.

FYI there are a lot of Dentist in town. Most say an over saturation.

Welcome to America. There's too many dentists everywhere. Toss in lower reimbursement rates, unbelievably high student loan debt and you might possibly get over treatment. One of the many problems with our healthcare.

At least Utah just opened some dental schools looking to make money off some poor kids thinking dentistry is a fast way to a quick buck. Poor kids. It's gonna suck when they get out with 500K in debt and jobs that only offer $90,000 a year because there are so many dentists.

I've been to Dubai about 6 times for 3-5 days per go.

I don't know where pine valley is, but when I lived in cedar, Brian head was about an hour from there, and st george is further than cedar...

And it was never too hot for you to swim?
There's three things I don't like about the beach; the sun, the sand and the water.

Despite being in the navy I never really visited the beach. Not my thing at all.
