DM hasn't been great defensively. not gonna lie. But guarding Lavine is a tough ask even for the greatest perimeter defenders in this league.

Bogey gave up some points for sure but I think the bigger thing was giving up the switch as a team. It was more "hey, you got this" and not "I got this".

He doesn’t need to lock him down. It’s just the fact that we have to reserve the easiest matchup for him every time. We’re unwilling to ask him to play any defense at all and it really makes some matchups tough. Now of course, we could just play Ingles instead of Bogey. But for me it’s disappointing that we’ve essentially quit on Mitchell playing defense. Bogey isn’t capable. Mitchell is, but we’ve taken that out of his game.
 
I haven't looked at the stats but I feel like Royce has sucked tonight all around
