Are more rep points awarded when repped by a high reputation poster?

When you neg rep your rep power is cut in half. So, for instance if I negged you it would take away 8, but if I posrepped you you would get the full 16.

Incoming welcome aboard pos rep, even if you are a dupe.

Thanks gameface. That would make sense but when scat negged me it dropped 15 and his rep power is 14. That one I don't get. The rest made sense.
 
I wonder if there is a bug or something. Or scat has some kind of super negger powers.

My advice to everyone is don't piss off scat.

According to the admin software, scat gave you -7 rep. So no super powers.

Nevermind. Thanks Colton. I got my math all screwed up because it threw me off how I had 37 points after Northeast and PKM pos repped me. Their power totals 28. PKM is 22 and Northeast is at 6. But I had 37 after they repped me. So I am assuming I got some free reps to start out with.
