A starting frontline of Favors, Kanter, and Parker might be too slow to guard anyone. Wiggins would be an upgrade on defense and could be interchangeable with Hayward guarding the 2 or 3.

Wiggins can't carry a team, yet when Embiid went down, he only did 21 pts on 44% shooting. I'm okay with that.

League executives on Parker:

"Skill, skill skill, feel and character. He is tougher than you think. A winner."

"He's the most ready to play in the league."

"Best combination of highest floor with still a high ceiling."

"He is the most NBA ready and will be a solid pro for many years, an All-Star, Olympian, etc. He can play any style."

"He's a Carmelo Anthony-type offensive player, but huge deficit defensively. Hopefully he's more into team and winning than Melo."

"I just trust him more than the other two guys."

"I'm unsure of Embiid's health and I just think Jabari has better intangibles than Wiggins."

League executives on Wiggins:

"He has more upside and his game will translate better in the NBA."

"He has elite athleticism -- which in the NBA to a special degree is rewarded by the rules and style of play. He has a decent skill set that he can improve on, he is a good kid and he wants to be a player. Major question for me is whether there are any killer instincts - like Jordan and Kobe."

I think I would still take Wiggins. He'll make big plays defensively, and he only needs a few moves to be close to unguardable offensively.

Parker will make difficult shots, but I'd rather have a guy who will get easy shots. Wiggins' ability to drive will get him space, while Parker will get crowded on his jumper.

On the bright side this could be good, we could end up with the 3rd pick and still be able to land Wiggins.

Cause he's a kid and he's Polynesian. He still has some baby fat to lose but getting in better shape is much easier when you are making millions, have a personal chef and don't have to go to college half the day.

He's not going to phase out of that build. He'll be 260 or 270 in a few basketball years whether he likes or not. I personally don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing though. He might just be a beast at that weight.

I choose Jabari. There was SO MUCH hype surrounding Wiggins that some people still can't get over it.

Wiggins put up underwhelming seasonal numbers compared to his hype and he and Parker faced the same-caliber of competition.

Also, it's funny how people say Parker can only score when he had more rebounds and blocked shots than Wiggins.

Both have what it takes to be all-stars. But I prefer Parker.

lol. Polys don't get thinner as they get older. The fact that he's half Poly is exactly why you should be worried.

Wiggins, and it's not even a question.

We'll probably struggle next year with either anyways, so why go with the more NBA ready one when the other clearly fits the team needs better (fast, long, athletic, defensive minded as well) and has a MUCH higher upside?

I'd love to see a line-up with Burks/Hayward/Wiggins/Favors/ and either Kanter or Gobert. I love the size and athleticism of that line-up.

I'll be happy with either player, but if the Jazz have the choice between the two, I hope they take Wiggins, and if they decide on Parker, it's because of his playing ability and not his priesthood.

My personal philosophy when drafting top 7-10 is swing for the dense and take the guy you feel has the most upside. That is Wiggins so you take him unless there's injury concerns or issues with his work ethic.

I'm honestly not super excited about either one. Coaching style could be a big factor in who we pick. If I were a defensive minded coach I'd take Wiggins over Parker.
