Neither Kemba Walker nor DeAndre Jordan are worth a high first round pick. The reasons they wouldn't give away their top asset (and possibly most valued acquirable asset in the league) is that they understand how the market works and how the market values assets, and they are not going to give up a dollar in a trade to get back 50 cents. It would take an incredible packaging of top notch current players plus future draft picks to pry loose the Brooklyn pick. Favor and Hood sure as heck ain't getting it done neither are Kemba or DeAndre. Neither Charlotte nor LA have sufficient return value in assets to induce Cleveland to make the trade.
Of course . . . I could be wrong. This is a world, after all, in which Donald Trump is President, so I guess literally anything is possible.
I think the Cavs are the exception, they need to swing big now.
Lets face facts. The Cavs are gonna need a whole lot more than a top 10 pick next year to pick themselves back up after Lebron leaves. So what if it stalls their rebuild by a year, they'll have the next 2 or 3 #1s anyway. They are in for a long long rebuild.
