At Least the JVs Won

Our old buddy Naz had a quadruple double in the GLeague tonight where his team lost a close one. He had 15 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 turnovers. His GLeague team has a 1-8 record. I noticed he didn't sniff the court when we got waxed by the Pacers.

Stars win tonight by 10 vs Grand Rapids in a game with 42 turnovers. Brantley and Morgan leading scorers with 20 each (Morgan 4-5 from 3) and Rodney Pryor was the leading rebounder with 9. I was impressed with Jordan Bone a late 2nd round point guard for the Drive. JWF did not play and Oni played poorly but did have 5 assists.

Stars win by 12 and had 7 players in double figures led by Bluiett with 29. NWG and Oni lead in assists with 6 each. Brantley was the leading rebounder for the Stars. David Stockton played for South Bay and had zero points. JWF came off the bench and reached double figures but needed a lot of shots. Speaking of alums stinking at this level Naz had a 1-16 shooting night in a 3 OT loss. A guy that turned the game around was Haas although he barely made a ripple in the box score. He totally intimidated South Bay and he had the highest + total of the Stars.

Stars win by 25 with 7 players in double figures and a couple of players with 9. Brantley the leading scorer and rebounder with 21 and 8. Haas 11 points 6 boards and 2 blocks in 12 minutes. NWG was player of the game and JWF a solid outing.

Stars have won 8 in a row, have the 3rd best record in the GLeague, have 8 players averaging double figures, JWF is the leading scorer and Brantley the leading rebounder. They don't have a home game again until Dec 27. The two teams with better records are Memphis and Wisconsin with one loss each. Last night Brantley looked small compared to the frontline players on Northern Arizona.
