Gobert's individual assignment is torching us. Davis is his #1 defensive priority. Sure Rudy is a great help defender, but you only help when your guy is neutralized. Davis, and even Howard on easy alley oops, have torched Rudy tonight.

You want Rudy to stop covering everyone and just defend Davis because that's how you give up 220 points.

Rudy is supposed to guard his man. And if he's so busy protecting the rim, why did he just let Caruso shoot a 5 footer over him?

Nah, you are having a hard time understanding how team defense works.

Most important thing you want to do is not give up points. If your guard is beaten which happens all the time because they are all terrible defenders, you cut off the path. If a pass is made you scramble to stop the new threat. You delay the possession.

But nobody is breaking down their defense to go to the rim. They are simply running an offense looking for open outside looks or close dunks. This isn't like playing some iso team and Rudy needs to help. LA is feeding Davis and he's destroying us.

Without Bojan we went from the best 3pt shooting to probably the wrost.

They are running simple PnRs. Our guards get stuck and trail. Rudy drops, Davis gets open.

Rudy is the best Iso defender in the league allowing only around 0.6 pts. I am sure he would be fine if it was a head to head.

Now that was good shot by Davis, though. Lol.
