Baton Rouge Police Killing a 37-year-old black man at point blank range

I saw a video from the take down on. The video looks EXTREMELY damning for the officers.

So let's see if I have this correct. This guy was killed because he was exercising his legal right to carry a firearm? Rich and tragic irony.

I watched the video. There was NO reason to shoot. He was on the ground and subdued. If this policeman is not convicted and does not go to jail, then a horrible mis-justice has occurred. Cue the inevitable *** covering by the BR police and victim blaming by the usual suspects . . . .

Can anyone anymore doubt why black people perceive the policing system is rigged against them?

That's the root of all american gun related death problems. If he had no rights to carry a firearm this all situation would have never happened. Now every ****head has a gun and police is shooting anybody without hesitation because they are afraid of being shot every day they are doing their jobs. Your freedom for guns is rotting, stupid system which should be banished into history's oblivion long time ago.

Having said that the guy who pulled the trigger should never work as policeman again after he hopefully serves some hefty sentence and should have no right to own a gun. Knowing USA this is not going to happen and he will be a danger to society in the future as well. Retired idiot like him killed a guy in movie theatre arguing about texting.

From the video there are two officers on top of him a be his left arm was restrained. This looks like an execution to me.

I don't agree with all anti police hate that happens. Some cases I side with the cops and some I don't.

This is one where I don't. There is in my opinion absolutely a case for murder charges on these officers.

I dont get why people watch these videos. I never want to watch a video of a murder if I dont have to.

I guess it's because this is happening to everyday people, and if it could happen to them what is to say it cannot happen to me or us?

This. **** like this will make me sick to my stomach. Cy and I are two of the biggest douches on this board but almost all of what we do is in jest. Deep down I consider myself a very good human being and I'm sure Cy's no different. I say that because I think we both "get it" here. For those of you who have watched that, God bless you and I'll take your word of what you believe took place.

From what I'm reading officers actions were shocking
Some questions though
Who screamed gun? Bad idea. Those words will strike fear in any one and officers with drawn guns are a deadly combo.
Not that it matters but were officers black or white?
If black does that make it a different case?
Either way it seems it was handled as bad as could be.

So now the question is 'did he or did he not have a gun with him at the time' ....

Even if he HAD a gun with him, did that make it OK for the officer to shoot him?

Does carrying a gun make police officers paranoia about what you might do?
