I also accept that the middle class hurts itself playing keep up with the joneses.

This.

****ing wives.

I guess women stimulate the economy at least.

First world problems read by third world people keeps it in perspective. (youtube video)

I am middle class (on a good day) and a couple billion people would kill to have my lifestyle. Not because I am great but because I have running hot water, carpet, two cars, my own home, food in my fridge, a washing machine, paved roads, streets not litered with trash, cities not run by gangs...
Yep. Great post

Yup. As soon as it gets real, play the get out of jail free card by spewing random obvious crap we already know to distract. I expect more from you mang... you're crushing my already blackened, marxist commie soviet russia norwegian socially democratic heart.

Really, we're light years ahead of other countries. I get it. Even amongst many that aren't considered third world countries. I recognize that, and I'm grateful I live here. I prove I'm grateful by paying an honest tax, and not taking breaks and loopholes. But resting on your coat tails puts you the way of packerd bell, blockbuster, polaroid, and myspace. We're in love with money and consumerism, and slowed making progress as a nation so we can build $peen empires. Because of it other countries are gaining on us. Some would argue, have surpassed us.

If you're suggesting it though, I'm ok idling for 100...150 years and shoveling our money out to other nations until they catch up to us. That's cool too.
Good post
I have no clue what you're trying to get at here.

BTW my comment about you being a commie was in jest.
I believe he is saying that though we are a great county and have it good, we won't stay that way forever if we get lazy and rest on our laurels

I think if we give the rich more handouts then the money will finally begin to trickle on the rest of us. The reason why wages have remained stagnant for workers is because "job creators"'have only been making record profits for 3 decades now. I'm sure by the 4th decade they'll finally start to tinkle down on us.

class warfare is moronic.

I see Mexicans hanging around Home Depot who will come help me load up just hoping I'll need them some more, and pay something. Anybody who will roll outta bed and go looking for work has my respect. People who talk about class warfare and want the government to fix everything with "social justice" forcing redistribution of wealth are just thieves working the crowd trying to make you feel guilty while they steal whatever you have.

If you want "social justice" for the poor, go give them something of your own excess.

Bernie Sanders is credible though, he's been the same man for forty years believing what he believes, he's just wrong that's all. Hillary is not believable. She talks one thing and does another. For every word about helping the poor, she cuts out another million dollars or so for her own little nest egg, selling her political office favors to those who will pay her for the favors.
