Best Android apps?

When you say a keyboard, you mean the little keyboard you flip out and around as compared to my Blackberry where the letters/digits are already there to begin with?
Yes, I mean the keyboard that you slide out.

It's much better than a Blackberry keyboard. The keys are bigger, and you get way more screen area. If you, for whatever reason, decide you don't want to slide the keyboard out, then you can just use the on screen keyboard (which is also already there to begin with).

I hate the slide out keyboards. There's something so gay about it. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

That's pretty much how I feel about Blackberry. I don't know how anyone can use that outdated and crippled OS, tiny screen, and tiny keyboard.

To each their own I guess, but I like having the option to use the bigger keyboard with more screen real estate, and still having the on screen keyboard there for the one handed use.

Why does everything have to be in the gutter with you? I mean, seriously.

(btw, it was in the butt)

I think you'll love the latest TULT post btw

anyhow, I see Salty or someone mentioned swype - have you used it? it sounds interesting.
(ironic in this context)

I finally got my android device. Went with the Samsung Moment instead of the Evo (thought I may still decide to switch within my 30-day trial window). I rooted it as soon as I got it and I'm now running it on Radioactive Froyo v 1.8.22.

My fave apps are
Games
JOYity - I was planning on programming something like this, but it already exists (which is great, because I probably don't have the talent to make it). It's basically a series of GPS games. The one I tried tracks all players' GPS locations, then you have to tag each other by getting within 25m and 'shooting' opponents. Last man standing wins. Could be very cool with a bunch of people.

Blow Up - place dynamite in strategic locations to bring the house down.

Wordfeud - nice Scrabble clone.

Angry Birds - just the beta so far. Full version coming in a couple of weeks, I hear.

Unblock Me - fun puzzle game

Others
Cardstar - saves barcodes from your membership cards to lighten your wallet

Google Translate - can translate your voice and even speak it back. Not extremely accurate at this point, but will be a Star Trek universal translator in the near future

Gospel Library - LDS scriptures, general conference talks and lesson manuals from this year

Maps - a lot of the GPS stuff is really cool.

Advanced Task Killer - very helpful
