Best Player Lineups for the Jazz

THT is 2/15 from 3 and 13/36 overall against teams above .500. He has 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 7 turnovers in 88 minutes of game play in those games.

He is the worst player on the team who gets rotational minutes in net rating.

This guy is terrible and I’d much rather see Ochai out there instead of him.

You left out THT best stat though.
Laughs generated per game. That is a skill that cant be taught

Through 10 games:

Our best 4-player lineups to play at least 40 mins together:

Conley/Sexton/Clarkson/Markkanen +29.3 net rating

Clarkson/Sexton/Olynyk/Markkanen +22.1 net rating

Conley/Clarkson/Olynyk/Markkanen +11.6 net rating

Our best 3-player lineups to play at least 40 mins together:

Conley/Sexton/Clarkson +36.2 net rating

Sexton/Clarkson/Olynyk +28.9 net rating

Conley/Beasley/Markkanen +18.2 net rating

Our best 2-player lineups to play at least 80 mins together:

Conley/Sexton +19.0 net rating

Sexton/Olynyk +16.9 net rating

Sexton/Clarkson +15.3 net rating

These are smaller sample sizes comparatively to our most used lineups but I find it interesting which lineups are extremely effective for a few minutes a game.

A lot of Conley/Sexton/Clarkson showing up in all different combinations.

In the 85 minutes we've played without Conley or Olynyk on the floor we have a net rating of -13.6. That seems like enough to get the tank revved up.
Trade away those guys and I guarantee you'll see a big drop in Markkanen's production (and motivation) as well. He doesn't seem like a dude who can just "get his" no matter what's going on around him. His chemistry with Mike in particular is a beautiful thing.

So yeah... it sounds ridiculous, but without journeyman Kelly Olynyk and 45 year old Mike Conley, we're definitely headed to rock bottom, fast.

Trading away KO,imo, would actually hurt more with the spacing that would close up. There are no reasonable back ups -not one's that are heads up playmakers. It needs to be addressed if they are going to keep pushing for wins all season to add a backup not dump KO. Trading away both those two would be a major white flag, that losing and tanking, are far more important to this front office, than building on what they already have. I don't see them doing that at all.
I think it would be ludicrous to trade either of them this season now, unless one of them gets hurt.
I think THT might get dumped if they can unload him, using a 2nd for a injured expiring flier

THT lol.

turns out when your TS% is well below .500 your team is going to struggle with you on the floor. good hell - he's so bad.
The funny thing is you know they are not giving him the green light to shoot, and yet he does it anyway. He is a case for sure. He has some interesting defensive skills and can get to the hoop. But, a lot of journeymen can do that, keep him moving on to another roster I say.
