Best shows on TV?

Just got started on American Crime. Looking like a good show so far. Sound was especially well done Vinyl - I don't usually pay attention to it, but in this case I did and I really liked it. Very professional. Clear where it needed to be. Precise but also lots of nice texture in places (i.e., scene inside the car).


My only gripes about the show so far is it seems to be moving quite fast? Already 4 suspects revealed after the first episodes? It took The Killing about 2 seasons to reveal that many suspects. Also not a big fan of fast editing, fast forwarding scenes, etc, but that's just my personal preference, I usually prefer a slower, character study type pace of True Detective.

OK really enjoying it now. Pace has slowed a bit, getting to see where this show is going, a real cross section of America, gangs, drugs, race issues, etc.


Huffman and Hutton are really good in this BTW, so are the other parents. Top notch acting.

Not one of the actors in any of the episodes mailed it in. From top to bottom, all of the actors are fantastic.

It's certainly not an All Star cast and I had my reservations.. but they sure are giving it all they've got.


Do you know if this will be a 1 case per season type format? Or can you not reveal/talk about that yet?

Haha.. Ok fair enough. I hope it is a one case one season type thing & you get different actors/different story each time. But that is quite a dangerous premise... you can lose a lot of following that way instead of increasing it. But at the same time I don't think there is enough story in this one or star power to carry it through x2 seasons neither.

Not bit on Marvel stuff on TV... nice in small doses of the theatre screen, but too much of it and it's like that 3rd bowl of ice cream.
