The pick gained for Beverly is a nibble at the apple at best. We’re rebuilding… we need as many bites at the apple as we can get. Wake up.

and a 26 year old. But I think they are mad cause beverly was going to bring us a title or a boatload of unprotected first round picks but now he cantPeople are mad we traded Berverly for a 21 year old? Yikes.
Basically this… it’s not like it’s the worst thing ever… the NAW trade was worse… but we sold ourselves short and it isn’t like we have an armory full of second round picks right now. Most experts think THT will opt in and his deal is likely a little negative… but even if he breaks out you’ll have to pay top of market rate to keep him. Just not a deal that provides upside.I think it’s still a net positive for the Jazz because winning doesn’t matter….but you have to think the Jazz should have done better gear. Beverley is a solid positive trade asset. THT is negative or neutral at best. Should have gotten some kind of pick out of this at least.
You see, that could have been a 2nd round pick next year. That second round pick could have been parlayed into two second round picks in 2024, which then could be parlayed into 5 in 2029. Eventually in 2048 we could own the 2nd round yo.People are mad we traded Berverly for a 21 year old? Yikes.
According to Lantz and McDonald. LA sports are part of the basic cable package in Vegas. Probably still out there somewhere - dark web or something.Ummmmm
This is really rich coming from the guy who’s only contribution on this site is repeatedly asking if we traded Mitchell for 6 picks yet.You see, that could have been a 2nd round pick next year. Well, have we?This is really rich coming from the guy who’s only contribution on this site is repeatedly asking if we traded Mitchell for 6 picks yet.
Just seems like the New York present offer of picks and young players trumps it….to me at least. I mean what would that buyout figure even look like I wonder.

It also tips our hand a little more.
It also is just kinda wonky.
I also think it could be step one in a two part laker deal. Break it into two deals to do it sooner… maybe.
All I know is that Bron made damn sure he was held out of the A.D. trade.
Sir… the AD trade happened 5 days before Lakers acquired THTs draft rights. So this is not a thing.According to Lantz and McDonald. LA sports are part of the basic cable package in Vegas. Probably still out there somewhere - dark web or something.
The NAW trade served it’s original purpose… to save 12M. It was easier to understand if you knew what to look for… so I concede… this trade is worse as it stands.I think it’s worse. NAW could theoretically improve and we have team control. Ingles was also a non-contributor with his injury. THT can leave if he improves and Beverley is a playoff starter which every team can use.
Still a positive given the direction we’re going, but it’s hard to feel like we found the best deal. We did the Lakers two favors by eating THT’s contract and also giving them a good player they very much needed.
