If the Jazz do not make Big Al a centerpiece of the team, then they might as well have dumped him...
More or less. Big Al may figure out how to be a role/team/system player, but if he doesn't it all boils down to whether or not you believe he's good enough to build around. I'm in the camp that thinks he's not in that elite company (yet), and as such (with his current team play deficiencies), if he doesn't improve, he should be moved for pieces that fit better. Like everyone else, I'm hoping all the big talk about his offseason is more than just lip service.
 
I agree that he's not bona fide cornerstone material (yet), but that he has the best shot at being so.

A cornerstone should set the example defensively, too. Even MJ and Kobe play defense (sometimes).
