If I called myself a college football fan I may not know who won a Fiesta Bowl 2 years ago, true. But if the team that won it was the biggest story in college football that year (2 years ago) and sparked a controversy that may well change the way the champion is determined, and 2 years later they were again the biggest story in college football when they changed conferences (to my team's conference- and only a month ago), I certainly would know who they were if someone said something about them. And I would absolutely know about them joining my team's conference a month after it was the biggest story in college football.
 
I really get tired of Salty, Conan, Marcus, Jazzman, etc hijacking threads.

Yeah, we all get that you guys know everything. Keep your pathetic hissy fits on facebook or send a PM. But it gets so old sifting through pages and pages of little one line zingers and quotes.

This is actually a pretty good point.

Why are Utah fans so defensive? You're out of the crappy conference and that horrible tv deal. You now don't have to worry about scheduling the big names, they're in your league! BYU and co are the losers. they are still on the outside looking in (even though Boise St has done a tremendous job as has TCU).

You can make fun of salty's momma all you want and you won't see him for months. Say one slightly negative thing about his Utes and he's all over these boards. He's not the only one that does this either...

But that's okay, we all know that Utah is superior to anybody else since they beat Utah St. by more points than BYU did.

You forgot O Gatinho. Remember when that whiny *** bitch would join a thread and stoop to referring to Utah as "little brother" because he couldn't come up with anything good? I hated that whiny bitch *** puss. Gatinho translates to "little kitten", which is fitting since he was a little *****. As soon as someone called him on something, he started whining about how they lacked class. I'm glad he's gone.

I know every mid major that won a BCS bowl game. They don't happen too often.
 
Perhaps this thread is all for not anyway. If today's Denver Post report that BYU is returning to the MWC turns out being true, I guess there's not much to discuss.

However, if that happens it will be interesting to see what concessions the MWC did/did not make for BYU.
 
That Post report sounds flimsy at best. The MWC is having an emergency meeting at the moment, whatever that means. The good news? College football starts in one week so this expansion garbage can finally be over. I'm glad Utah is playing on Thursday because I want to watch football ASAP.
 
The MWC is having an emergency meeting right now? That could get interesting.

I wonder if Utah and BYU are participating in the meeting...
