Anyone else think Desmond Bane is the closest comparison to Ochai?

Virtually identical numbers in their rookie years and senior college years. Similar body shapes/size with Ochai having the advantage. What advantage Bane has a shooter, Ochai makes up for with better finishing at the rim and has better potential on the defensive end.
ummm... they are not identical

Y’all have some dumb arguments sometimes. Agbaji is fine and on a cheap contract for years. I doubt he’s a star down the road, but he should be a serviceable rotation player for years to come. I’m not sure why so many of you guys seem to be in a hurry to move on from two rookies who just proved that they can contribute to the team now AND down the road.
Not in a hurry at all... I clearly stated if you don't get at least mid first round type value then no need to move him. What I could see happening is we are trying to move up in the draft and a team would prefer him to another first round pick... since he can be a cheap rotation piece and maybe has some upside. If that is the difference between being able to move from 16 to 8 in the draft or 9 and say 5 or 6... then I would move him.

I hope he takes a major leap and is awesome if he stays... but he could also be similar to Saddiq Bey where he kinda stagnates and had a bunch of value after his rookie year and was moved for a few second round picks a year later. Ochai is a worker and I would not move him for nothing.

Walker is in a completely different league tbh and there are very few scenarios where I'd consider moving him. Would have to be a godfather offer.

HH, who do you take between these two? Should we add him to the poll?

Why... that's WES MATTHEWS!!!

He was a very serviceable player for an old rookie who got most of his starts the second half of the season. I think Ochai has a similar trajectory.

I mean the poll is closed, but once you take Mr. Matthews numbers out to per 36 numbers he would be likely picked well ahead of Ochai. Its a fair potential outcome though.

Sorry bro. Bring all the comps you want to the table and HH is still gonna think Ochai sucks and want to get rid of his sorry *** for garbage ASAP

Per 36 is a misleading stat. Did you play against starters? Did you play 3 minutes and get 5 points and expect you will get 60 points if you play 36?

But whatevs. 9.3 means he had a 13.3 per 36 on points. Its pretty much identical. Also, Matthew's and Ochai played similar starts but Och didn't get many minutes until the middle of the season whereas Matthew's did.

Ochai doesn't look like hand pads as some suggest, but he will be an upgrade to Royce O'Neal imho. And at a fraction of the cost.

Can we upgrade the spot? Sure. But can he make the rotation on a playoff team? Yeah, if not a starter.
