Bold Trade Idea

I've already posted the clutch stats of Favors and Millsap from the last year. At least acknowledge it before reiterating your erroneous point - it took some time to research.

Utah had among the highest man-games lost to injury and Atlanta had among the least. 62 games into the season Atlanta was the second healthiest team in the league. In other words Millsap had all of his teammates that were stepping up night after night. We needed Favors to step up more than Atlanta needed Millsap to step up.

This HAS to be a joke? You're whole argument HAS to be a joke. Good job luring people into it, it worked.

Besides Paul, Atlanta had Al Horford inside during the clutch to score. He also had two other all-stars in Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver on the court to defer to.

So "too much help" is the reason why Millsap was terrible in the clutch in Atlanta? Fine. Let's accept that for a second and instead compare Favors' clutch numbers this year to Millsap's final year with the Jazz:

Favors: 30 games, 4.2 minutes per game, 2.1 points on 58.0 TS%
Millsap: 35 games, 4.2 minutes per game, 2.2 points on 55.5 TS%

I hope we can agree to stop using how Favors performs in the clutch as a reason why he should be traded for Millsap.
Not to mention, check out Millsap's TS% the last four years in the playoffs. If you want somebody who will shrink when it really counts, go get Millsap. Yeah, he'll get you there, but healthy Jazz gets there anyway.

I don't understand why every idea in this forum turns into a fight or a bunch of insults. Back in the day, people would talk at the barbershop or water cooler. Nowadays, a bunch of anonymous punks just wanna talk ****. Its okay if people have different opinions than you. It will happen throughout your life.

I happen to think that Millsap fits our needs better. We (FO, fans, players) have said many times the last few years that we need veteran leadership (intangible), heart (intangible), hard work (intangible) and depth. I feel like this trade addresses much of what we lack in building the chemistry of a contender.

Look at GS - Iggy's defense and intangibles took them from cute to contender. Every player on that team said he changed the culture when he arrived. He was that guy who could do it all.

My idea isn't perfect. I know that. It comes with risk just like the Hill trade. If Favors truly has that much more value than Millsap and Korver, then Atlanta could add that 2018 lottery protected pick they have from Minnesota.

Your point sucks.

Act like a man.
The reason that your point sucks is because first it was said that millsap is more clutch than favors. Then stats were presented showing that to not really be true.
At that point you should act like a man and see that millsap in fact was not more clutch than favors. Instead you try to make excuses to why millsap was not more clutch than favors. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHY HE WAS NOT MORE CLUTCH. THE FACT IS HE WASN'T/ISN'T.

If you want to guess and speculate that with different teammates and with different amounts of health to teammates that millsap WOULD be more clutch than favors then go ahead. But that is all guessing and speculation. The fact is that millsap is not more clutch than favors. End of discussion.
