Boo Satan

I don't think anyone had at any point suggested that we should cheer Deron every time he touches the ball. But he did far too much for this franchise to deserve that kind of disrespect during introductions. I don't hold the same negative opinion of him as I did Boozer, because if Deron did end up leaving on his own accord, it would have been for a team that could contend for a title right away. Boozer was leaving for money and money alone.

The vast majority of people are saying cheer him during the intro but alot of people are failing to realise that.

Return to Utah, and some other stuff from Deron's blog. Read and decide to/not to boo after that, IMO.

Great read. People instantly forget what an impact deron had on this team, and more importantly, this city. He had numerous slc based charities, and even after moving, continues to operate some through slc. He did a lot for the org. and the state of Utah. He put us back on the map after missing the playoffs three times. He worked hard every game he was in. Remember when he literally carried us through the Denver series a couple years ago? He was the heart of this team for many years.

He was a competitive guy, and wanted to win at all costs. I can't hold that against him, especially when he sees that his team is being dismantled for money reasons (poor decisions regarding the ak contract and the memo contract; ie losing brewer, mayor for money savings). Through his eyes he could easily perceive that as not going 100% for glory.

As far as all this talk about driving Sloan away...
1. This is rumor, not fact. It could've happened, but no one besides Sloan really knows. So don't act like you do.
2. If Sloan could withstand almost 2 decades of Karl "the diva" Malone and his constant threats of leaving the team... Do you really think he couldn't handle a prima donna moment from deron? Give Sloan some credit.

Cheer the man. Root for his team to lose, but at least acknowledge the accomplishments he has provided for this team and this city.

Exactly! Unfortunately, people believe what they want to believe and the media doesn't help with that.

I've been following this board since the start of the season but had no plans to register (because let's face it, most of you are idiots, especially Beantown). But enough of the Satan Williams love already. Are some of you still so obsessed with him that you're subconsciously hoping that he will re-sign with us so you are afraid to boo? Let me get this straight. Fisher lied, Boozer faked injuries, but Satan Williams had absolutely nothing to do with Jerry Sloan's exit? They were just arguing over a bagel at halftime, right? That wasn't months of arguing and pent-up feelings that made that situation explode. Sloan just felt it was time to quit, right in the middle of the season. Right?

Cheering for this guy is a disgrace to Jerry Sloan. But some of you fat, arm-chiair loser coaches will probaby embrace that. I don't live in Utah (thank goodness), but if I did, I'd boo the **** out of him. Anyone who cheers is a Softy McSofterson.

I'll drink a beer with you any day good sir.
