Boozer Update

The sad thing is if the Bulls traded Boozer they would really have zero offense. Sloan's system was really the perfect fit for Boozer and made him look 5x better than he actually is.

And it made the Jazz look 5x better than they actually were, too.

Don't underrate the ability of players that actually play with each other. The obsession with LOW-POST!1 LOL NO MATTER WUT here is retarded.

It's a shame Boozer is kind of a turd at the end of it all. Not our problem, though.

Rose needs to learn how to run the pick and roll. Boozer is one of the best PnR players in the league. Just watch him play with Rose, he always flashes to the basket and Rose NEVER passes to him. He has an open lane often and Rose ends up crossing over, driving, or passing out. They're shooting themselves in the foot not using Boozer in the PnR.

Absolutely. If Rose was more of an actual PG, he might be more of an actual MVP. However, the Bulls having maybe one player that can defend and also hit a 3 is killing them since it allows Wade and Lebron to wreak havoc on anything they are trying to accomplish inside. Boozer's abilities being squandered or not.

Brewer actually played really good the last couple of minutes for the Heat. Hit a big three and nailed two clutch free throws, as well as played really good defense.

I was actually really happy with Brewer shooting that three at the end...... till it actually went in.

Brewer definitely has his moments. And for a few million a year and as a guy coming off the bench and playing bench-player minutes, he's playing about his perfect role right now. But their rotation is just a bunch of swiss cheese. Bogans isn't good for much of anything besides being physical, Korver can't defend an iso to save his life (although he's a good TEAM defender, the Heat are an absolute nightmare matchup for him), and Brewer - whether he hits some shots at times or not - is simply not a guy you can rely to be shooting jumpers. Like, ever.

But this goes back to how Rose is overrated IMO; The Bulls are running a similar offense to that of the Jazz's. 1/3 of their rotation comes from the Jazz. Everything runs through a star PG. Yet, Brewer is hardly an impact player offensively, even playing against bench players because their PGs are far more concerned with getting their points than helping their teammates score. Or maybe they just aren't good enough in that area to make it happen. They could really use an Eric Maynor or Earl Watson backup instead of a reformed chucker (Watson).

I didn't want to see the Heat in the Finals. It makes me so mad I could just trip over a bag in the dark and punch the floor.

Boozer was just as bad on defense in Utah regardless of Sloan's system. Last night he was embarrassingly bad. I was a big supporter of Boozer for most of the time he was in Utah but I am glad he is gone. He looked better in Utah because DW is a better PG than Rose. I 've watched Rose a lot and he doesn't not want to pass the ball most of the time. He would rather shoot it so Boozer is not entirely to blame for his lack of offense. However, Boozer is entirely responsible for how bad he is on defense. I am so glad he is no longer on the Jazz.

Korver has reverted back to what I thought he was. A decent regular season one dimensional player who can't get it done consistently in the playoffs. Brewer has played really good defense but his lack of consistent shooting is an issue when playoffs come. It was nice to see him perform well because I always like Ronnie even though he has a serious flaw to his game.

Extremely simplified version of it. Probably because Rose's PG IQ isn't fast enough to react to open players, and probably because Thibodeau isn't that great at teaching offensive schemes.

I've come out of retirement to agree with this post. Spot on, my friend! :)
