I think Kawhi will end up in Boston. The Celtics have more assets to offer than anybody and I just don't see any way that the Spurs would trade Kawhi to a western conference rival, especially the Lakers.

I think it all depends on Kawhi. Ainge will put forth the best offer if Kawhi agrees to extend. Kawhi might only want to join a surefire superstar like Lebron though, and Lebron is not going to Boston.

All this drama just makes me want the #4 pick more. None of these teams are gonna take back Parsons and none of these teams are patient enough to groom #4.

Colin Cowherd has a good point. No team would want to rent Kawhi for one year. It kind of forces San Antonio to trade him to the Lakers. Unless they let him walk for nothing or team wants to give up a lot for one year.
