Where we send Al to spurs for Leonard and Jackson. I asked my brother if they said where the rumor was coming from he said he couldn't remember. Has anyone heard of this so called rumor?
 
That is even better than the splitter deal...... i hope this is true.
 
How dynamite would that be? Just waive Jackson. We probably wouldn't, though, because someone beside just Marvin has to get minutes ahead of Leonard.
 
My Bro also mentioned that they went on and on how dumb of a trade this would be for the spurs. Also forgot to mention, my bro said they were discussing all the trade rumors, and this was yesterday that he heard it.

I find it hard to believe as well - Leonard was an absolute steal for them and he's on a rookie contract. Now I wouldn't doubt that Utah has proposed this trade scenario - but I doubt it would happen.
 
It's not overly far-fetched. The Spurs do like Jefferson and think he could help them with issues in the post, both defense and offensively. The question is what would be willing to do to get him. Admittedly, a Duncan/Jefferson duo is just nasty to think about. Either way, the only thing I've seen is the Spurs like Al, but that's about it. Similar to the Lakers liking Raja.

Listen I think this is as far fetched as you do. But if true this would be a big get for the jazz, so I posted to see if anyone has heard anything.
 
This would be a dream trade. The Spurs are enamored with Leonard so it's doubtful that they would do this. Leonard has barely touched the surface of what he can do talent wise.
 
The Spurs traded George Hill when everyone thought they were in love with him too. I doubt this trade happens, but I wouldn't call him untouchable.
 
I don't see the Spurs trade happening.

I'm not particularly high on Splitter or Patty Mills, and while I would LOVE Kawhi, I highly doubt they give him up in ANY deal, let alone for Big Al.
 
But hot damn, think of this lineup defensively in 2-3 years:

PG - Burks
SG - Gordo
SF - Kawhi
PF - Favors
C - Kanter
 
I don't think any trade happens. All this specualtion about a Spurs trade is just that. I bet the Jazz aren't even in talks with them.

They aren't trading Jefferson unless they get a star in return. We may all think Al is worthless but the Jazz see him as there superstar. Hence the reason why Favors can't stay on the floor and Jefferson never gets benched. Havent you all noticed Jefferson is more valued than even Millsap? The Jazz will at least leave Millsap on the bench occasionally in the 4th. I think its pretty clear how they feel about Jefferson. He's not going anywhere. Prepare for the re-sign of Jefferson. Because it doesn't matter if he doesn't play defense. The Jazz have never given a crap about defense. Did Boozer and Memo get dealt? No. In fact no defense money man was re-signed.
