Sounds like some are saying that for a shooter the bump stocks are a hindrance to accuracy and also make your gun jam and they are meaningless.
Why did someone invent them then?, Why would anyone want to equip one to their gun?, Why would anyone spend money on one?

Pretending to have an automatic weapon is the hypothetical appeal. I don't see it myself, but I've certainly met enough people who seem to enjoy it. Now the yahoos who want to do so will come home with slightly sorer shoulders. I agree with the ban, but it falls into a feel good type of win as far as I can tell. Which is still something as someone said earlier in the thread.
