Dennis shooting <40%, <30% from 3.

Burke shooting 43% from the field, 44% from 3.

Is this the true measure of PG's nowadays? Shooting %'s?? I'd say often times this season Trey is actually playing the role of 6'1" SG so this is kinda comparing apples and oranges -- Look at Trey's deflated ast/to ratio and where his shots are coming from, more than 55% of his shots are Jumpers, the 3 most popular distances he shoots from are 25' 24' and 20'... They have him doing what he's good at, not taking the reigns at PG..

Schroder is so much better at running the P'n'R its almost disgraceful to see this topic on a Jazz forum. I highly doubt John Stockton would vouch for Trey's play style over Dennis'.

Trey apparently isn't good enough to start over Raul Neto, and Schroder is clearly a much better version of Raul Neto. So OP's train of thought certainly eludes me.

I used to say in the draftee's thread that I didn't think Trey was much more than a 2½:1 AST:TO ratio pg, he's been over that, near 3 -- Not this year though I'd say because of his new, more hands off role..

Dennis Schroder.jpgTrey Burke.jpg -- Look at the difference between these assist charts. Trey's looks like a wing player..

@Dalamon you can't possibly think Trey's gonna command more $$ from teams 2 summers from now??

Keep in mind Dennis is also a year younger.

lol. We all know Dal doesn't need first-hand experience of things before he starts spouting capital-T Truths about them. Usually it's because he 'read a book'... now: he read some stats. Cute. lol.

It's true that Trey has been forced to play off ball more due to the skillset's of Burks, Hayward, and Hood, but Trey has been great getting the ball where it should be when he's handled the rock. The problem for Burke is he isn't getting consistent mins with players that can finish his passes. While Schroder is surrounded with floor spacers.

I agree Trey shooting percentage doesn't make him better. It's his ability to break down the defense, his improved decision making, and his improved finishing at the basket, couple with his shooting that makes him better. Burke still needs to become a more discipline defender, and continue to improve his ability to finish at the rack.

Same with NAOS. He lived in NYC for years and can comment on its gentrification.

Oh wait.

PS: your boytoy Dennis ****ing blows. Lol.

You don't need stats to show that DS is a much better Pt Guard than Trey. As PG_AB has clearly shown, DG is a true PG and Trey is a miniature SG. Could Trey shift his style of play? I am very skeptical. It's just not in his mentality to be a pass-first player. Look what happened last game. He played great in the first half, but then in the second half because he was scoring and penetrating in the first half, he went back to his old hero-ball, shoot first mentality with disastrous consequences for the Jazz.
