All were DNP/CD on Saturday night. If these three are to be the future of the franchise, Quinn didn't have much faith in them on Saturday.

What? Hayward, Gobert, Favors and Hood are the "future". The average age of those 4 is 25. Did you mean in a decade when those guys are on their way out?

Hood and Exum were drafted in the same draft. Exum is younger.

So? It's not like Hood is old.

Burks is clearly not the franchise and Lyles was never marketed to Jazz fans that way. Only Exum had super high hopes pinned on him. But none of that changes that this is Gobert and Hayward's team and they are both young and the future of this franchise.

Edit; Plus since Exum and Lyles are so young they have time to be brought along. Trying to win game 1 on the round in the playoffs is not the best time to do that.

Lyles is a bust. Just look at Portis with 19 off the bulls bench. When was the last time lyles score more than five points in a game. There are just so many guys we should've taken instead of him at #12

It makes the trade of last year's pick for Hill look brilliant right now. I'm not sure there was a player that would have helped us at that stage.

Going to pretend that this isn't a troll job for a second:

If you think playing those guys over the players that got burn would've still resulted in a win then you are ****ing high. Game 1 is a perfect example of why you have veterans on your roster.

Now, I think there is enough there with these players to have hope, but this thread should probably be about what you can get in a trade than about prioritizing their minutes in a gritty playoff series.

All 3 of these players have high tragedy potential in games.

Exum will turn it over for easy points.

Burks will try some crazy layup, fall down, and create an easy 5 on 4 for the Clippers.

Lyles is a walking tragedy.

They are in a win now at any cost kind of mindset. For that I get it. (Still question Mack's involvement - but hey Q has decided a bit of bad D is better than the fastbreaks that can eventuate from missed layups and TO from X).

I really hope the FO and Q are secretly believing they could win it all this year. Put it all on the line - cause a great playoff run might be the best way to keep most of the team together and also, it just might be the best chance they get in the medium term to win it all. The timing may not be ideal for the Jazz - but if the 'moment' arrives you need to acknowledge it and take the opportunity.

I may be misunderstanding you, but when is it ever not ideal to win it all?

Yea I don't think that was a very clear post eh :)

I guess what I meant was, screw development etc this year, cause there is at least a plausible path to a championship. Jazz are not simply making up the playoff numbers, and have the tools to potentially worry the very best teams - who have some question marks over them.

Im really disappointed in lyes and burks, give their roster spots to new jazzmen. Lyes could have some trade value with his cheap contract no? Send him to some sucker like the Nets.

Nets has absolute zero asset to trade for him though

It's like Trey really doesn't give a @h7t this year and has eaten his way to the end of the bench. I think Burks might have too many surgical scars and I'm still hopeful about X.

I think my kid may be and he's just 3.5 months. Oy the ****ing crying.

My son had colic and cried 5 months straight. It was really hard to bond with him. Something that saved us was the Moby wrap. You should look into it. Basically it wraps the child to someone's body but leaves your hands and arms free. The only thing that calmed my son was skin to skin contact. The moby wrap was a life saver for him and helps us all bond with him more/better.
