They are wrong.

They only take him off the ball cause they are worried about TO and fastbreaks off missed layups. I think that is pretty shortsighted long term. But for the immediate future I get it.

Go back to his 12 assist game as a rookie and you can see he is clearly a point guard. The worst thing X does is shoot.

i think his passing is underrated. I hope he becomes a PG once he learns to stop freaking out and getting caught mid air. Hopefully next year with the free agency stuff resolved he'll have a little more leway. One thing is for sure he's got so much work to do.


heard Locke say again that Lyles has basically mentally checked out. Pretty interesting that he's said that 2-3 seperate times over a month or so.

He may have less leeway depending on what happens as well.
If they do resign everyone, they will def be in a win at all cost mindset.

If I was X agent I would approach them for an extension to test how committed the FO is to him. If the FO doesn't bite, I would be wondering whether the two sides should get together and see if a trade can be worked out.

But, that is a discussion for the summer.
 
If Locke keeps saying that Trey has checked out 2-3 times that really blows. Trey is getting paid to do this and getting paid a lot of money. It might be time to unload him and unlead him quick. That is not the Stockton/Malone way.

Am I too cynical in thinking that the FO would approve of Locke's revealing of this (repeatedly) to Jazz fans.
 
Id trade burks and lyles for our old booker no doubt. We can package them with one of our many many draft picks and get a quality player perhaps.
