What's new

Burks / Kanter extensions ???

Yeah, DL probably wants to see if Kanter can thrive under Quin's new system and help us win. So far I'm not impressed. He has this season to figure things out. The sooner the better....

He had a good game vs. the Blazers.

Let's also not forget that Kanter is coming off surgery and has only recently started playing 5 on 5 again. He is a little behind the curve compared to the other guys who spent the whole summer playing high level competitive basketball or a full off-season of development.

The fact that his passing is showing improvement is a huge sign to me.

His individual offense might suffer without Corbin though. Kanter is probably the guy who benefited most (from an individual stats perspective) within Corbin's post heavy offense

Yeah, he needs to knock down that 3point shot, because he won't spent much time in the left block as he used to, getting offensive rebounds and putbacks. He needs to catch up fast, you can tell than Booker and Gobert are in great basketball "shape" and ready to play big minutes now.

I hope kanter can speed up the release on his shot.
He's getting open looks but he takes too long to get rid of the ball

If I was DL I would have called Kanters agent first thing this morning and asked him if he had seen last nights box score. And if he'd like to reconsider the last offer that was on the table from the jazz.

While SLC is a small place, there is a fairly large Turkish population (especially if you count Ogden through Orem)

I like Kanter but he's mentally weak - which is more obstructive to a player's development than any type of basketball shortcoming. Until he's able to display the ability to play through mistakes I wouldn't commit anything more than market value for a back-up 4.

Very good point re: the injury. Still though, in a league headed towards more mobile 4's, is Kanter caught in between two positions: not quick enough to guard the PF's and not physical enough to be a rim protector at the 5? The way he's played defense his ceiling might be a poor man's Boozer at the 4.

Well, when Corbin and Locke weren't blaming him for being the reason the Jazz were losing. Hard to benefit at all when you're being called the scapegoat.

Not a fan of Kanter at all, but if we could get him locked up for 4 years and in the 30 million dollar range, I would be on board. I think he is at least a very good 7th man and might be in his best interest to get locked up as he very well may be our 4th big this year.

So, Vucevic gets 4 years at $13.5M/season from Magic. Will be a comparable for Valanciunas, who likely gets more.

So who likes Enes for 13.5 million Per? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone besides you Max Eurgul.

I'd give enes 13.5 over four years if he'd take it.
