I watched all the games, and he was very productive when he was actually fed the ball in the post. Unfortunately, Turkey was dead set on chucking garbage from the perimeter.Since those 17 minutes per game he got over there mean everything. I mean all 17 minutes he was in he was playing against NBA talent like Favors was last year.
And for you to call me ignorant is like calling the kettle black. The fact GVC that you back it up with nothing but names means nothing. Even the youtube video of him backing down Gasol means nothing.. it was 2 points.
My point is that everyone is automatically praising Kanter without seeing him and stating he has a much better post game than Favors.
I mean since you watched all of his Euro games are you referencing this game?
14 minutes, went 1/4 from the field with 1 rebound vs Spain (GASOL)
or this game?
14 Points - 7 Rebounds - 7/9 vs. Portcugal (Don't know any of those players)
or this game?
19 Points - 5 Rebounds - 3 Assists vs. Poland (Don't know any of those players)
Also to his credit he went 5/5 against Germany but since you mention Dirk, he didn't guard Kanter on any of those EXCELLENT post moves.
You claimed that others' evaluations of Kanter were based on his play against "no competition". He competed against some of the top players in the world this summer, and, again, had absolutely no trouble backing down Chris Kaman and others. He was 4th in the tournament in 2-pt fg% (among qualified players). His footwork is good, but he's not explosive, so he's going to have to continue to get stronger to muscle his way into good shots. He's going to draw plenty of fouls down low.
How many of the games did you watch this summer?
