Buying a home

Well this has finally happened, because it takes forever to buy a home. But it was all worth it.

Congrats! I've been in my new place for a couple weeks now. We love everything about it, the neighborhood, the neighbors, the proximity to schools and parks, everything.

I'll post a picture when I can find my phone cord. I can't find anything after moving for the 5th time in 6 months.

My stupid mortgage company sent my funds to the wrong place! Now I'm sitting here with a completely packed truck, empty house and I'll probably end up in a hotel tonight! Probably won't get my keys till tomorrow! Damnit.

I'll have to buy all new clothes for work tomorrow and my 8 year old for school. Mother ......

Moving is a bitch. Glad it worked out in the end though.

My best advice, Start throwing **** away today and do it often.

When we rented my wife would be like "That's cute but I don't really need it". Something changed after we bought a home. It's like she got her own personal vault that she seems to think is infinite in size. Now she'll come home and say "Look what I found at a yard sale, it was only a dollar. Isn't it cute?" I'll say "yeah, that's interesting. I like it." but in my head I'm thinking "I guess I'll put it in the attic. I wonder how long it will be until I am allowed to take it to the DI."

What's worse is that as much as it drives me nuts, I find myself doing it! A couple of years ago there was a solar eclipse. I made a solar viewer out of a cardboard tube and duct tape. It's still in my attic. smh

Don't get me started. My wife buys more and more **** when we haven't even unloaded the moving boxes yet. She will fill every square inch of counter top space if I let her. With T-R-A-S-H.

After my post I got a hair up my ***. I cleaned out the laundry room and the trunk of the car. I had to stop because I filled the garbage can. I think I will work on the basement this weekend. There is 5 plus years of worthless junk down there, it will take a while.

Good luck with that. I could fill the garbage can any given Sunday just by cleaning off the junk magneted to the fridge. You know what happens every time I clean out the garage or car or anywhere? It means more space for more J ****ING UNK.

While I'm at it, why get the mail if you're just going to chuck it on the countertop for the next 1, 2, who knows how many weeks? Either go through it (99% trash that gets auto-chucked) or leave it in the damn box.

Exactly. If you clear out the junk then it only costs you more money cause the wife will need to replace the junk.

As for the mail.... I wish I could get to the mailbox before my wife each day so I could throw away a bunch of stuff without her ever seeing it. On the days that I actually do get the mail from the mailbox, I throw away the bed bath and beyond coupons, the ulta coupons, and anything else that gives her a reason to spend more money and by more ****.

No ****. I throw it all straight into the trash along with the bills. If it's not from a lawyer or IRS I'm not giving it two seconds of thought.

The thing I missed the most when I was homeless:

My first project after installing sprinklers and front lawn is going to be building an alcove and in-ground hot tub out of stones I personally procure from southern and southeastern Utah. I've been waiting 10 years to do this project! I might even channel Sliding Rock in Alpine to come off the top of the cave if I don't run out of steam.

Franklin, awesome house!

Also, I want to come hang out in your backyard when it's done! :)
