Buyout Options

Niang gonna have a monster game tonight and DL ain’t even gonna answer the phone when Marvin calls.

I figured Marvin wouldn't have any interest in signing with us. He wants to be on a contender.

Signing with Milwaukee.
Well ****. Not sure he will play much...Giannis, Middleton, Ilyasova eat up a lot of the forward minutes there.

They waive Bender or Brown... I’d like Brown but no interest in Bender.

He called but DL was right in the middle of a good Sudoku... he didn’t have time to break.

I think they are the favorites... so it makes sense. His role will be pretty small when healthy.

What do you want them to do? Williams finalized his buyout and signed with Milwaukee in minutes. Seems like he had his heart set on the Bucks from the start.
I would like them to rewind and make a deal at the deadline because there aren’t many buyout candidates and we aren’t anyone’s first choice.

I think TJ said they had no idea who will be on the buyout market... that’s a problem... because of how these deals happen. I’d think you’d call a bunch of teams and see which guys are going to get bought out or which ones are thinking about it... then you call those players agents and see what the interest would be... do any of us think he didn’t have something in place with Milwaukee prior to agreeing to the buyout?

I don’t think they pick up the phone enough... I think they wait too much. All of their public comments indicate that’s how they operate... it’s weird.

That's the issue... you listen to Locke and he's like "problems... its like 10 minutes a night and TB is fine... not even worth upgrading... and they are working really hard... offensive rebound rate, win share PAC% says he's just really average"

First step to fixing a problem is realizing you have one... we aren't there.

At very least maybe lets put Brantley out there with him... not a shooter I get it but he will try to get rebounds and try on defense. I just watched PJ Dozier and Tory Craig have a good effect on a basketball game by giving a **** and trying. Put a guy out there who is playing for his basketball life.

But nah... Niang and TB are fine... I wonder if we have an excuse machine in the front office... deadline passes pull the lever... lands on "there were only a couple guys we liked so we didn't make a move" that's a great one for trade deadlines and not buying picks... as well as selling your own picks. Pulls lever again "we were aggressive on the market but didn't have stuff teams wanted". Pulls lever again... "just ask yourself questions and answer those questions... use big words and platitudes throw due diligence out a few times... make up some **** about hand pads or balance beams... those internet doods love that"
You know what really chaps my *** about the G League guys... like, there’s this argument that we can totally tell from practices that they’re not ready. Like, we know that. Solid. We have all the data. But then things that are painfully obvious with flaws, game after game, and sometimes over multiple seasons (Exum, among many others), we act like it’s too soon to know anything and feel the data is way too incomplete to make a judgment.
