BYU is going to look so dumb on ESPN

This guy is stoked right now.

Ha ha ha! I know that guy. He does MC'ing jobs at the BYU basketball games, too. And he's the upper left hand singer in this video (which is awesome):

i just want to hear the argument, not that i disagree

Cause of teh pac 12 mostly.... and I agree.

Pac 12 gives them a recruiting edge for sure and I think (not positive) that they will be getting more money than byu in the future.

The utes will need to start competing better in the pac 12 though or else the other stuff won't matter

Utah is in the Pac 12, byu is in danger of being relegated to a lower division of football if the BCS conferences split off into their own division.

vanderbilt and kentucky's football futures look no brighter than northern illinois. being in a power conference is no guarantee to a bright future. and there are only 60 teams in the big 5 conferences and all talks of division 4 football talk about a 70 team division. as one of the top non big 5 conference programs (in terms of revenue, fan base, success) byu isn't in any real danger of being excluded.

Vanderbilt and Kentucky's futures look at least a billion times better than NIU's bro. Don't be short sighted. Also, I know you aren't comparing Utah to those two. We've been in the Pac 12 exactly 2 years. Give us a chance to get up to speed.

You're insane if you think byu isn't in danger of being left in the cold.

BYU is such a big cash cow, there's no way they'd be cut off from Div I competition. What a complete Utah Ute Pipe Dream. It just isn't going to happen.

BYU was stupid to not jump at the chance to join the Big 12 a few years ago. But they aren't dumb enough nor are other conferences dumb enough, to cast out BYU from major division competition. Sorry, Lil Brother, but BYU makes too much damn money.

Do you actually think that the bigger conferences give a **** about BYU? If they go forward with the plan to split (which I think is a horrible idea), I can promise you that the last thing you'll hear the powerbrokers say at the negotiating table is: "Wait, where does BYU fit in with all of this"?

Serious question, why is Star Wars so prevalent in LDS culture? Is it because it's an action movie/trilogy that is relatively "clean?" I know of many who hate 007 because it's considered "dirty."

I will never get why the band plays Darth Vader's theme after sacks. Playing a theme song from Mission Impossible, 007, Bourne, Batman, Man of Steel, etc. would make more sense to me (if you have to play a theme song from some action movie). But I just don't understand why so many here in Utah act as if it's mainstream. I've always had the impression that it's more a cult (or nerd) following. Same with Star Trek.

I don't have that much against it. It's okay. I just don't see it as that great.
