BYU NCAA Violations

Meanwhile, the only thing on Tom Holmoe's mind is wondering where can he find the shelf space for the Taysom Hill Heisman memorial in Legacy Hall.

lol @ Archie being an undercover zoob.

Why is this such a personal thing for you Archie? Do you know the dude in question?

But like, do you follow college sports? They broke rules and will be penalized for it. It's not some judgement thing or anti byu thing.

No **** Sherlock. I'm just not making 9/11 out of it like some clowns are. Plus, we don't even know what they did. Lol

Archie making a bigger deal oit of this not being a big deal than anybody making a big deal about it being a big deal lol.

Half the thread is Archie telling imaginary people to calm down.

I know this sounds cynical but..... are there programs that dont do minor violations like what you mentioned?

Also, the dude doesnt even work for them anymore? Sounds like byu already took care of it maybe.

You're starting to sound like an apologist. The guy worked for BYU two decades and when he left it was on his term. Read the quote from Bronco on how much he would be missed. Whether Bronco knew or not is still unknown but to trivialize it by saying.. other programs do this.. or the dude doesn't work there anymore.. to your final assumption ..BYU took care of it. How actually did they take care of it? The guy left on his own.

Sorry but if BYU promotes a squeaky clean imagine and makes students sign an Honor code then this type of behavior shouldn't just be dismissed as minor nor as a non news story. Certainly, more will come of the investigation, but whether he knew or not it doesn't look good for BYU or Bronco. Both are bad, a liar or being incompetent.

**** the NCAA

Notice how they always focus on enforcement of "gifts". What is so unethical about providing an affordable place to live to a kid that is bringing in big bucks to your school. Or is it rather that they fear a precedent and a slippery slope towards compensation/salary.

and

byu sux

Well as the system is now setup, it opens the door for paying students to come to your school. Scholarship students get room and board so if they can get cheap rent then they can pocket the rest. So to say what the big deal is, the deal opens the doors for corruption. Personally, I blame the NCAA because they are the major part of the problem with hoarding all the money they make. However, the system is the system that each school agrees to abide by and therefore BYU is going to get punished if the accusations are true.
