You know this makes me think of something completely tangential. If you get a gender-reassignment, are you then no longer gay, but simply straight? If you are a homosexual man, and you feel like you are a woman trapped in a man's body, and you get surgery to turn yourself into a woman, you are no longer a gay man, but rather a woman, so you are a heterosexual then, right?

I meant to write an explanatory but it turns out editing is presently broken.

In sum: Your statement only makes sense if you have a binary view of gender; that gender at all time matches up exactly with sex.

That only happens after I go around with a poster on the topic for months and they still don't get it while claiming they understand, or, in the case of particularly obnoxious individuals, the poster goes out of their way to mock transgendered persons because their family doesn't accept their gender status while asserting that they should just be quiet about it and not bother other people. Of course, who could be that big an *******?

I never said they should be quiet about it but simply wondered had they considered what their family is going through. The person in question has a habit of making everything about them and them alone while everybody else is an ***. Them against the world...
