Cakk Bakkers Part Deux: repentance thread

Im really looking forward to the game tonight, got 35 pounds of crawfish im about to pick up... watching from cajun country
 
Who are the players you specifically wanted and what we have traded to get them? Whose minutes would they be taking in the playoffs? Would this player have helped us win game 2?

None of the guys that actually got moved would help us a ton other than PJ Tucker... who was definitely discussed by a few guys. D will could have helped if he tapped into his dominating CP3 powers... not sure he has them anymore.

A 6'6" SF who sometimes plays PF would not help us much. I would rather have JJ, Ingles and even Diaw getting those minutes he would take up. Also he is doing almost nothing in the playoffs for Toronto right now.

The player I wanted was Ilyasova but he is not doing much either although I think he would be a little help to us right now but its not like we would have won game 2 with him or have a better shot at winning this series. We just need our best player back and we are fine. We made the right move not to go after anyone. We need the cap space flexibility to sign our own guys or go after trades/FAs this offseason.
 
The cakk bakkers were bakking just before we added Hill, JJ, and Diaw. They had been cakk bakking since the previous offseason. If y'all had yer way those dudes wouldn't be on the team. Remember all the Exum should start over Hill nonsense in the offseason? Y'all are ridiculous. Sitting on your hands is a bad strategy. Remember the "Bolomboy is the answer to our problems thread"? You have to remember that gem. GTFO

Ilyasova was another one... good catch... I don't think we could have had him though because that trade was a money grab for Philly... Atlanta traded Splitter who'x contract was covered by insurance.

It wouldn't have just been the playoffs and not just this series though... If we win one more game we start with HC advantage... also Tucker could guard Blake pretty well. He definitely helped toronto down the stretch.

Would either guy make a meaningful contribution... tough to say... games are won in the margin and if there was a slight difference here or there who knows.

I think I fight against the stand pat folks more just because you can make changes that improve the team... I know that sword cuts both ways but I feel like we get so attached to some of these guys because we drafted them. I'm a believer in decisiveness and pushing forward.

I'd say I'm 85% satisfied with DL... much happier than most fan bases are and I would not want him fired or replaced. There have just been fringe opportunities to improve that we didn't do anything and the costs were seemingly minimal.

It's soup... the base was good, but needed some seasoning.

There were other things that could have been added and were not... even though the cost is next to nothing. DL already admitted the initial cakk bakk was the wrong strategy.

I take NUMBERICA's silence to Duck's answer as a sign of his deep heartbreak at the idea losing whatever player it would have been -- even though that player won't see any playoff minutes.

Very few people wanted us to stand pat last off season. Most of this cake baking was for last season. Not this one.

Some times I wonder if we all read the same forum or not.
