No logjam at the wing? Low on wing players? Potential wings: Evans, Hayward, Howard, Miles, Bell, Millsap - That is three guys at each wing position before you even get to Burks. Sure, there is a dearth of quality wings, but there are plenty for Corbin to choose from. Howard and Bell get time without even having to perform - they got minutes from day one and they suck. That much is obvious. Miles gets time regardless, because he has shown in the past that he can shoot the ball fairly well at times (doesn't do anything else to help the team, but that is neither here nor there for now). That is three guys right off the bat who don't have to prove anything and will get minutes. Hayward is young, gets time - and should - because he finished last season strong and has potential - just like Burks. Millsap will get some time at the three because of the logjam in the frontcourt. Evans is also a victim of Bell, Howard and Miles. It's easy for Corbin to sit Burks because of all the veterans there. Does that mean they (especially Miles, Bell and Howard are better) are better? Of course not.
In other words, yes, Corbin is a moran.
BTW, veterans, especially some of the Jazz veterans, make "rookie" mistakes consistently.
