What's new

Can Devin Harris run an offense??????

Personally, I feel like we should have a Jazzfanz ammonia and bleach party and reminisce of the good old lockout days.

Yeah, Harris is more of an SG.
I like this starting lineup:

Tinsley
Harris
Hayward
Favors
Jefferson

Gets Raja out of there and puts Harris where he might work better. I thought Tinsley's done a great job at setting up the team.

Brilliant solution. Let's put Harris at shooting guard when he can't shoot. Seriously, what's his redeeming quality? He can't run an offense. He can't shoot. He can't play defense. He has no leadership skills that I've seen. He doesn't rebound particularly well for a point guard. So what exactly does he bring to the table for 9+M a year? This guy can't expire fast enough.

Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, cash considerations, and the GSW pick.

You get the point though. Corbin's blind. Coaches do not think with their heads often enough. Too much is based on salary and name recognition. Great, Harris seemed very good once, years ago, on an up tempo Dallas team with a top five player and other strong players around him. What's he done since? He's obviously not very good nor capable of running an offense. Like I pointed out, he really does bring nothing to the table other than a name and an inflated salary. Yet he sort of automatically gets the start because of, well perception, not reality. Play Watson and Tinsley, please.

Yeah, that his only quality is what came with him.

I've been against this Harris is a top 10 pg nonsense ever since he came here. Harris would be fine if there were four other studs on the floor to mask him. He's in the bottom 21-30th among starting point guards, just like Raja and CJ are among starting shooting guards.

This team is broken plain and simple. Time to either trade for a stud wing or go into full scale rebuild. This veteran limbo hell we're living isn't amusing too many fans.

Here's a list of guys I consider better than Harris, and I've left quite a few off who are just as good. There's 19 and 3 more rookies.

Billups
Conley
Curry
Evans
Felton
Jennings
Jrue
Kidd
Lawson
Lowry
Nash
Nelson
Parker
Paul
Rondo
Rose
Wall
Westbrook
Williams

and probably Rubio, Knight, and Irving too.

Westbrook, Durant Have To Be Separated After Altercation

Russell Westbrook's frustration appeared to have started with just 3 1/2 minutes remaining in the second quarter when he drove into the paint and kicked the ball out to Thabo Sefolosha in the corner. Sefolosha passed up a wide open 3-pointer, which prompted Westbrook to yell at Sefolosha “shoot the (expletive) ball.”
Sefolosha and other teammates, including Kevin Durant and center Kendrick Perkins attempted to calm Westbrook down immediately during an ensuing trip to the free throw line. But the emotions spilled over to the bench one minute later.
Durant appeared to again settle Westbrook, but Westbrook appeared to take exception to how Durant delivered his message. The two began shouting at each other and had to be separated.

They are still having problems getting along. Lets trade for Westbrook. We definitely have the chips to do it.

Why - in the precarious situation the Jazz are already sitting in - in the hell would they want to add a total ****-stop like Russell Westbrook. That's smart like drinking nitro glycerin.

I'm seriously worried about Harris. After what Cheryl Miller said about his attitude in New Jersey about not liking basketball when they started losing. If he goes into a funk, he could affect the younger players.

If he could be had for cheap, I would do it. He may be a total nutcase, but he is better than anything the Jazz have at this point.

He has the play of the year so far. Kicking TWO Lakers fans.

On a side note, in all seriousness, was that a dude or a lady he kicked. I felt the tension through my television, knowing Kevin Harlan and Reggie were thinking the same thing and ohhh so badly wanted to comment on it. Here's to you, Lady/Man Lakers Fan, may all your clothing choices and haircuts continue to be as ambiguous as possible.

Just saw someone suggest Rondo for Westbrook. Rondo would be a great fit in OKC if they start Harden at SG.

The deal with Harris, he shined in NJ the year he was an all-star because of that 4 man spread offense. The problem, they still sucked. I like Harris the person, just not the player. He's highly overrated.

I really thought the exact same thing.

Whatever it was, it had crazy cash.

I repped this and screwed up the comment. It was supposed to say "I 100% agree".

I'd put Calderon on this list too as he can run an offense and shoot at least. He may be aan awful defender but Harris isn't exactly making stops either. Additionally, we should keep in mind that Miami, in essence, doesn't need a true point guard, and has two better distributors in Wade and James. 24 teams.
